I had posited some pictures of a test paint scheme for my army ill be using, since im making a game and making models for it i though id do a blog on here to keep people up to date.

The Game is going to be a scifi skirmish game with a story line ive been working on for a while now.
The game usually has 10 through 15 infantry and some kind of Vehicle such as a mech, transport, aircraft, ect.
It has a campaign system that allows your models to level up and gain new abilities and gear while playing.

Any how this is the start of my army i called Eden
They are basically the resistance but have more money to have better armor and weapons.


My army is going to use a mech for its vehicle for now, but heres the start.

If I were you, I would base not base the rules off of any other games, as there may be some copyright hassles. Be original and you will be rewarded. A PDF of the rules when finished would be appreciated.

The mech is from AT-43 But i think its the same designer.

The rules are different from any games ive played and i think the storyline is what makes it that way.

Well whats cool about my game is you can use any models youd like so if you want you can use gasmask guys for badguys

Sounds similar to Tomorrowswar, just with less rule fails

What i want to do is take in what every body wants in a game in put it in this so throw out what ever you want.

I'm intrigued by this. Do you have what stat lines will look like down yet?

Im thinking for right now

Speed- for movement
Accuracy-for shooting
Melee Combat- for close combat
Agility- basically means Toughness or the number that protects them.
Intelligence- used to train
Senses- Used to find hidden models
Courage-used to see if they stay in the fight.

The armor is what keeps your guys alive,
Armor gives your characters bonuses to stats and some special abilities as well as the Armor Stat with think of it like halo if you have ever played it, the Armor shields go down when you take damage.

Vehicles Will have
Speed
Accuracy
Melee Combat( if it can attack in close combat)
Intelligence- (pilot only)
Senses- Used to find hidden models
Of course add ons you can get to.

The leader will have more because hes the main guy and the story line makes them allowed to do things that your normal infantry cannot.

In the storyline
Your main guy is taken over by this spirit type thing, how he gets its is totally up to you,
These spirits are some times good some times bad and or in the middle.
(ill put them up later)

Now once your guy gets taken over they gain these powers that allows to do some really cool things,
Your guy may get a spirit that lets him have telekinesis
so while playing you could move cover around,
You might have gotten a spirit that gives you fire so you can do cool things with that, there's loads of different things and for each one there are different abilities you can learn to do.

Agility-
Intelligence-
Senses-
Courage-
Command-

Thresh Hold- used for spirit powers.

Some of this might change will testing the game but so far its something like that.

There are races to pick from also for your main guy so keep that in mind.

I could have sworn that agility meant speed.

I use agility because in this you dodge.

Sorry about not replaying my back went out on me so i was stuck in bed for a few days but it will be changed to that,

Im also working on the powers that your Main characters can have, and what id like to do is get people to create there character so they can be used in the main storyline.

what kind of powers have you planned so far? and is there a good/evil side to things (like an infamous type) as in some evil powers like health drain or such

There is a good, evil, and in between.

Most side can use the same powers but sometimes harder then then it should be.

Say your on the good side but want to use a evil side power (depends on how you make your storyline and what type of spirit takes them over) Although you fight for the good guys you are taken by a bad spirit so you use its powers, that bad spirit wants bad things but you being good doesnt allow it so when you do its powers its a little harder but as well some powers are easier to do.

plus what ever spirit you choose gives your guy bonuses such like seeing through cover or jumping really high, super strength all kinds of things

What about a completely mech army with no psychic stuff? With extremely good guns and vehicles, just crappy heroes.

You leader always has powers and for the army you get to pick what type of vehicle you want, weapons and items are accrued by doing missions and earning enough exp to unlock them or the mission give it to you if you complete it.

interesting, but i think killykaves idea might be good for an npc group of some sort, maybie the equivalent of templars to assaisins, or silverhands to the companions (skyrim)

I guess that would work, I mean that it was i made a blog so people would throw ideas out.

What are the set races in this game? I know that you want the game to be open-ended, but what are the basic armies to choose from?
