The diffrence between Gork and Mork is simple

Gork is brutal cunning
Mork is cunning brutality
In otherwords GW has been trolling you Ork boys for 15 someodd years now!
In the fluff The orks fight between who is what ork god and the diffrnece. kind of like how us Simple minded 40k players debate the same thing.

The difference is as you put it. Orks don't need a reason to fight other than it's a fight.

it's not trolling. Gork and Mork are left purposely ill-defined because that's the way the Orks like them. Their anarchic society and beliefs just wouldn't work with rigidly specified deities

If you're after Gork and Mork fluff, and their effects on the Orks, the Gorkamorka books (in pdf form on the GW site) cover it in some depth, and are also extremely amusing.

Either way orks are awesome. Need more books about them, I wish I could find some good ones to read. I'll probably pick up their codex soon just so I've got something to read about them

Gork (the ork god of fighting, being green, and brutality) is brutal but cunning.

Mork (the ork god of being green, fighting, and brutality) is cunning but brutal.

There are also lesser gods in the spectrum that some other, less 'ard races worship:

Khorne- red chaos god, tries to be Gork.
Slaneesh- pink chaos god, really wants to please Gork and Mork
Tzeentch- bird like chaos god, tries to be Mork.
Emperor of man- dead guy on a throne, bathes in glory of Gork and Mork.
C'tan- god of spooky metal skeletons, worshipers carry glowing green things to praise Gork and Mork.
Machine god- metal god of metal men, worshipers try to build like orks do.

Really though, if you don't worship the big greenies, you don't worship a god.

GW hasn't been trolling Orks for "15 someodd years" with this. It's also been over 20 years. They're not trolling anybody with this; Orks are ridiculous, always have been ridiculous, and GW and everyone who plays Orks knows they're ridiculous. 40k players don't really debate the same thing either, they take it as it's written and as a funny joke and that's it. And what's with the Tau comment at the end? What the hell is that about? It's unnecessary and annoying.

In other words, way to write an awful OP for what could be a fun thread.

You don't get it, that's done intentionally, both in universe and in the real world as well. The Orks themselves leave them this vague on purpose, so they have an excuse to fight each other, and because, well, its "just roight orky". They're both orky, and thats good enough for the orks. Their fights usually devolve down into which one is which, which several dakkanaughts have reenacted for your education up above. They're not joking, that's seriously how Ork theology works...

And all the sudden I realize the futility of trying to use any word with more than 3 syllables in a thread about Gork and Mork... Need to figure out how to make this post more orky...
