Hey Guys

As I said before I was going to start my my very own blog, well now here it is!!

I'm currently building up a footslogging Eldar-army. This is my first ever army and I have only painted a total
of 20 miniatures up to now.
It would be very nice if you could tell how to improve my painting.

One last warning: I am a very slow painter so it could take quite some time until i will do further updates.

Two guardians, painted in my Blue/Orange sheme.

Two more guardians.

I painted this dire avenger in the color sheme suggested in a GW Article.

And here is a fun project I started, some Banshees built from the wych and guardian sprues. I still dont know whether I should paint/use them as harlequins or banshees.

And one my brother MrMerlin built:

Feedback and comments are welcome!!

So this is what I get to smash with my Orks (or get smashed by....)
He let me build the last one, thanks bro!

I like the crisp painting and the accurate highlights, but I think the guardian sheme is a little to bright..... but maybe thats just me....

Now start painting the rest of the force!

LOOK!! a shameless self-promotion! (gasp!)

I like the scheme. Eldar deserve to be bright.

The gems are great, and the highlighting is very crisp. I look forward to more!

The colour contrast between the orange and blue is nice, and the use of DE bits looks good so far.

Now here is my weapon platform, this is the first bigger miniature I painted, so the left side looks slightly diffrent compared to the right one.

Here it is:

And one last shot without the Weapon.

Hello

That's a fun comination of colours, I think you have pulled it off quite nicely. I agree that the highlighting is nice and neat. The gemstones look awesome, mate!

Good tester for the Dire Avenger.

The one thing that I can't work out is your work on the eye lenses - have you only used a base colour for those? Might just be washed out photos but it looks like you could do much better if the gems are anything to go by

Actually the eyes were painted like them gems, but sadly the pictures make them look pretty dull.

Now I cant unsee it! Arrrgh!! Stupidt pictures!!

Anyway thanks for the comment .

Love your guardian colour scheme there. The sky blue and orange work very well together and the gems look amazing

After 4 weeeks of travelling and being lazy I finally got enough stuff put together to make an update!

So first i'll show you some new Bashees:

Bansee number 1:

And the backside:

Second one looks a bit too much like a dark Eldar, I need to add some gems and Cloth. Hopfully a bright paintjob will help too...

The third one is a male Banshee . I somehow managed to loose all my female torsos.

And finally the exarch with executioner:

Then there is a Wraithlord I assembled some time ago:

And finally the scorpion I'm painting on right now. I got a bad Finecast blister, and besides several bubbles and unclean moulds he has this weird texture all over. Note: I did thin my paint and it looked like this before basecoating...
Anyway, I'm quite happy with how the the colours turned out, but the texture makes it look very unclean.

UPDATE!
I finally finished a striking Scorpion!
Here he is:
Front:

Back:

Side:

Closeup on the Face:

And finally closup on the back:

I know that some stuff doesent look so good, but thats mostly because of the Finecast, as you can see in my last post he was quite buggy and and had a weird texture all around.

I hope you still like him. Comments are welcome.

Ooo, looking good. I especially like the green. Mind if I nick the recipe? Would like to try it out some day on my Eldar.

@Swordwind
Thank you. The green took quite some time to achive.
First I painted a thin coat of dark angels green on the armour.
This was followed by Snot green leaving dark paint in the recesses, last I highlighted with a mix of scprpion and snot green adding more scorpion green every layer painted.

Like the green armor, very "Scorpiony", I mean that it looks poisonous at first sight.

Hi Guys

I spent quite some time travelling the past few weeks, so the only new thing in my army
is one single Dire Avenger!

Well in order to get more Stuff painted I decided that I will paint the rest of the Avengers,
(around 5) in one batch and then do the same with the Guardians.

So here is my most recent Dire Avenger:

Please tell me what you think of him.
