Gearing up for the new semester!

We'll be playing 40k tomorrow night.

Also, our local Hobbytown is now adding a gaming table to their store.

Our group is now operating on a regular schedule.

Currently, we play at Clockwork Games at the following times:

Tuesday nights - Warmachine / Hordes at 6:30pm
Saturday nights - Warhammer 40k at 7:00pm

Additionally, we play at Hobbytown College Station at the following time:

2nd Saturday of every month - Warhammer 40k at 5:00pm - 9:00pm

There will be 40k going on tomorrow night.

As another update, we have a group in town beginning to organize Axis & Allies games. A regular gaming time has not yet been set up.

Also, we're going to start a Journeyman League for Warmachine / Hordes around the first week in September.

Lookin forward to meeting new students as the new semester starts!

Also, Clockwork opens up their new location tomorrow! More information forthcoming as we're working out an arrangement to get tables and terrain into the store.

You should also look into the group that plays on campus on Sunday afternoon. There are 8+ people, some terrain and other stuff. Combining groups would help give a little more weight behind some of the stores supporting wargaming in BCS.

Our Journeyman League in College Station now has 20 players signed up. We'll be starting it on Tuesday, September 4th.

Almost the entire community is brand new to WM/H. After Wargamescon, 4 of us decided to organize this league. I'm so stoked.

We're happy to announce the first WM/H tournament that will take place at our new local store, "The Looted Gaming Co."

Here are the details:

What: Warmachine / Hordes Tournament
Where: The Looted Gaming Co.
When: Saturday, November 3, 10:00am
Cost: $10 per player
Prize support: Entry fees will be awarded as store credit: 1st - 40%, 2nd - 30%, 3rd - 20%, and one extra 10% prize. Steamroller coins will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

35 points per player / two lists per player / no reinforcements
Chess clock time format - 38 minutes per player
Missions will be selected from the Steamroller 2012 packet
Maximum capacity is 30 players

Our area now has our first official PG! Also, we're having our next 35 point tournament tomorrow. We've got 16 players signed up, which is our max capacity for this event.

Things may be winding down for the semester, but some of us are still in town. Also, we've already planned our first event for next year.
