For those of you who don't know my 40k version of this thread, this is a thread where you post a character e.g dark elf with norse name, and I'll come up with a name. (this thread is v2 of the highly acclaimed 40k thread, all rights to DreadlordME!'s name generators are owned by DReadlordME! etc.)

Empire characters don't usually have compound word surnames. Mages and Engineers might take them on as titles.
But military men and warrior priests have regular old germanic names with odd spellings.
Examples of Empire surnames:
Helborg
Franz
Schwarzhelm
Leitdorf
Tochfel
Achendorfer
Bloch
Grunwald
Grosslich
No Empire Captain is going to be named Marius Puffysleeves.
