Figgured I'd show some bravety or stupidity all depending, and show some of my Orks (and possibly some other modells)
I started painting about 6 months or so ago. And I'm currently working on my Ork army...
Sofar: warboss, 10 nobz, 34 boyz,1 painboy, 3 deffkoptas, 1 trukk, 3 kanz
so here goes (be gentle )

Warboss (the head has been repainted, this is the old pic)

Your warboss is damn nice...

The yellow is great, but the blood on the weapons dont look right.

The color scheme is great... I must resist the urge to copy (with my own colors of course )

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...
My take on Demiurgs (enjoy the reading):

Please, if you think im wrong, correct me (i will try to take it constructively).

I agree about the blood. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Could be I should start with just blood red, then hit it witha blood red and black mix... Tips appreciated :-)

@Gingalain You can make batter looking blood by mixing some red gore and a tiny bit of chaos black paint with some water effects and it will dry in a way that makes it looks like it is still wet

After almost 2 months of redoing my kitchen and livingroom, I finaly had some time to Paint a model (tried a few new things including improving the blood). The pic is a little dark unfortunately. But daylight is becoming rare here in the north
So again with the bravery/stupidity of seeking input and criticism (be gentle alto it seems you all are generaly a forgiving lot )
Here goes Nob nr 6...

The last nob you did is my favorite out of all of them. He looks cleaner and the blood is a big improvement. The skin and lens is looking quite nice as well.

Would you mind sharing how you paint your browns? They look very nice, the big Mek is very well done.

He just used the same edging technique you use on MEQ armor, only with browns. Thin the paints enough it aint that hard. I usually forget to add that tiny bit of detail in my work though i always get this "WOO ITS DONE!" feeling once i finish the skin highlights.

That KFF is funny though. All Hail da Rubba Ducky! Itz Shall Protectzez Us!

Thank you
The brown is just calthan brown with badab black and devlan mud, highlighted with vermin brown. (new names I think are Mournfang brown, nuln oil, agrax earthshade and skrag brown)

You got the blood right with Nob#6 mate !

If you can get that to work on your warboss, it will be one hell of a pretty site.

What's killing your warboss right now is the blood. The yellow is good, but with the blood so bright it makes the whole model feel a bit... like a toy. I'm sorry this sounds harsh but I'm having trouble finding the proper wording for it.

I'll get a new pic of my warboss up, He has been re-done alittle.
But ofc my light decided to die. I'll try to find a replacement after I get the half a meter of snow that fell last nght of my yard

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Snow is gone, Light replaced and pictures taken... Here is my Warboss again.

Hope it looks better
