My wife gives me crap to. Also a lot of smack talk. The she read the Dark Eldar codex.....

Its not the best idea, but next time your about to go out for the evening look at her and say "and you think your butt actually looks good in that, here see this female dark eldar kabolite, or this Juan Diaz daemonette?? You need to ge into this shape before you get into THOSE pants...."

Also, most of my ex's laughed at my hobbies...until they saw the attention to detail I put into the paint job. If I can paint a model with that kinda detail, imagine what kind of things I can do for(to) her.

My wife doesn't make fun of me, but she hates the cost of the hobby. She wouldn't care if I was paying for anything else, but she can't get past the price of little plastic men.

Yea, same here she gets really upset that 10 plastic little men costs 38 bones. It takes alot of convincing to let me cointinue the hobby, she wont let me get finecast cuz of the cost. such as stern guard its 45 for 5 guys, even I am like wtf thats alot for a little

Well next time she makes fun or gives you crap, just say, you will quit The Hobby and from now on, you will spend the money at the peeler bar every weekend from now on with the guys instead.

Lets she how she will like that and see that it's better to be in The Hobby instead of other places.

My wife makes fun of my painting (hers is much better) but not my gaming.

I play her game (Pathfinder..i also get to Dm all the time...) and she occasionally plays 40K/Warmachine/Dreadfleet/Fairies Eat Meat/Whatever..

My lady used to poke fun at me a bit for it, and criticise the cost. But then i just pointed out all of the useless expensive stuff she buys for her hobby (burlesque isn't a cheap hobby to maintain)

i also just plain old ignored the pokes and jabs and she must've realised that its just not okay to bug me about it as i really don't say anything negative about her hobby costs.

now she asks a bit about the lore and rules from time to time

My wife doesn't bother me at all. She knows how much I love this hobby and supports me in it.

haha..yeah my wife gets a little frustrated by my "toy soldier" hobby but she appreciates that it's something that I enjoy doing

she enjoys saying..so that's the last thing you're going to buy right?...and I say yes dear as I scan kijiji for cheap models lol

Today I came back from the local store after playing in a league game where I got whomped playing (for the first time ever if you believe it) against Necrons and asked how I did
so I told her...well....I got beat...badly....very badly and she was very sympathetic and asked why I got beat so badly ..if it was because his models were more expensive than mine, or if I didn't have enough models to beat him ...after trying to explain it ...I just said...well I guess he was just better than me...in hind sight I should have just said cause I didn't have enough models to beat him ..maybe I would have gotten more lee way to buy more lol

My wife brags about this hobby with all our friends just like she does with all my other hobbies.

My wife hates it when I come back from the city with more models or paints, she hates the cost of it.
Also when I go to my gaming club she refers to it as 'geek club'

My wife is awsome and actually plays, she has a beautifully painted 3000pt Daemons of Chaos army, a good 1500 of Chaos Marines and she's just picked up Vampire counts.

Only down side is she kicks my arse far to easily when we play.

Life is sweet when your wife is a gamer geek!

My wife hates the price of everything, even the stuff I think is at least on the edge of reason. She likes the hobby overall though, unlike RPGs which she hates. So it sort of balances out.

My ex teased me a bit but IMO everyone needs a hobby.

My gf doesnt care, she even knows some lore and talks about it sometimes. But she definitely makes fun of the neckbeards at the store, as do I.
