The Slaughter in Space is Coming this February over President Day week end.

This GT style Tournament will be 6 games over the two days.

Any update to the rules package going up?

Since I assume this is not in Trinidad it doesn't matter to me but it might be nice to include information on where it is in the subject line or post.

Is there comp? Sports? I was considering attending but there is a pretty large lack of relevant information here and no rules packet yet...

Is it still 2k? that makes for some long games.

Also, the website indicates that day two is May 27th.

I wish I could come, but we're out of town that weekend. For anyone considering it, I strongly endorse this event - Scott & the SCGWL folks run a tight tournament, and it's always a blast.

Am I to assume this isn't happening? Either way I don't think I am going to invest my time and money in an event that clearly isn't organized. Too bad, I was hoping to try a 2 k event at least once, this one just won't be it.

Its happening. We have been a bit busy with our other stuff (I was in Wisconsin at a Fantasy GT, Scott is getting our league BBQ ready), but our focus should be back on this. The schedule and everything else on the site is accurate, as stated. Packet link appears to be slow, so let me ask Scott about that later today once my nuts unthaw.

Bear in mind the ticket cost included a full convention pass, as well. I think Scott left that off the site info for some reason. We are basically running all the book missions, except the Relic and that one is being replaced with a mission with objectives similar to the other five book ones.

If you're keeping it at 2k are the rounds going to 3 hours?

I will be there if there is an odd number playing footie IG, but aside from logistical help and information, I have zero to do with the administration of the tournament. Scott and Toby make all of the rules calls and judging.

Anyway to get confirmation that this is happening? I e-mailed, but no response....

And update to the questions being asked?

Seeing the scenarios before the day of the event might be nice as well.

Don't worry, they are, Scott's just been unable to update the rules packet.

Yeah DA are in. Scott had a death in the family so he has been swamped this week. I believe they are also ruling yes on the whole Cyclone on a hamminator question, if that matters to anyone.

I like the idea of a 6 game tournament. Gives more variety and stops people from playing "STALLhammer".

I would like to keep it at 6 games as well. I firmly believe that this gives us a better idea of who was truly the best overall.

I just like playing 6 games. It seems I've been spoiled by Tournament play, as most games against casual opponents take 2x longer. Even 1k games have taken me over 2 hrs against casuals. It'll be nice to play against professionals again.

just submitted my Dark Angels army list. Hope that they are in fact are allowing the new codex, I'd hate to show up with an army that I cannot use.

@cortez667: The new codex will be allowed due to their "30 day rule" and that codex has been out past 30 days.
