Long story short: pretty much everything I had 40k related went the way of the dodo. Took a long break and now I'm back and the alpha legion is pissed.trying to get my skills unrusty, what little they were. Also learning the airbrush is a challenge.

Bit too blue for my liking, but over well it looks good.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

I was going for something that theoretically would confuse the heck out of people expecting ultras. Imagining a guardsman saying " the astartes support have arrived, now we can perse- OH GOD"

My well organized and clean work space

It works well, nothing overly renegade about it, and it could be easily confused for any blue loyalist space marines. Do you plan to have any renegade guard allies?

Yeah, I have roughly 90 cultists and some 40 guardsmen I've yet to assemble. The chaos models from dark vengeance I plan to do in a more traditional alpha scheme.

That's allot 'o Cultists, so what list are you planning to use for them?

Still sorting the list out, also I've yet to play a single game in 6th so ill probably start with a pretty straight forward chaos lord foot slogger list and just try to get a feel for the new book. I do like the idea of huge blocks of infiltrating cultists though as a tarpit.

So will you be using Huron for that? Because of his Warlord trait?

Most likely, based on my initial read of the chaos book. I really need to get some games in and see how things work on the tabletop. I'm so out of the loop right now I am still basing everything on 5th Ed experiences.

Trying to make them look as if they've been put thru the mill. Still learning a lot about weathering and chipping

Got a start on a rhino today. Looking at hopefully starting the weathering on it tomorrow if I can manage to put the basecoats down. Any suggestions on something to give a slight green tint to the models? I've seen people use filter before but only blues and browns.

Airbrushed the base coat and glazed the heretics this morning. Overall pretty happy with the way the color came out. I think I'll add some grime and tattoos where I can later.

Finished a standard bearer for the most part, and trying some blending out. Hopefully be rounding these guys out soon so I can start on some heresy goodies.

Awesome freehand on that banner. I'm digging your weathering too. Looks realistic.

Well, my guys in full spiky chaos armor will be a bit darker. I was trying to give the appearance that they had robbed the ultramarines blind to confuse imperial forces at distance.

Thanks much, yeah I am using the chapterhouse Truescale guys as squad leaders. Although to be honest I wasn't especially thrilled with the majority of the pieces in that kit. If I do any more Truescale guys I'll probably attempt doing it myself.

Test dip one with army painter. I think that will really pull them together. Then do a final edge highlight. They look great so far!

... wait... Sun Drop?

As far as I can tell, there are very few isolated pockets of the US where you can get that regularly. Where are you from?

Anyways, I like the idea of recently-flipped CSM. They could probably stand a bit of contrast, though. Perhaps you'd consider washes?
