I'd say you guys seem to be taking lessons from GW on previews and teasers, but I guess this case is a little different since it's basically the return of a dead (?) game. Or at least I *think* it's a dead game since I've not seen it anywhere, in webstores or brick and mortar, in many years.

Don't know anything about it, either, since it died out right around the same time I got into miniature gaming. Curious enough to keep an eye on it, though.

Especially interested as I'm definitely in the market for a new 40K-scale Sci-Fi game, both in terms of model size and number of models used, and there seems to be a surprising dearth of those kinds of games. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Warpath.

I like those Chasseurs quite a bit. I've tracked down the old Warzone books and I like what I see both in terms of rules and fluff, though I haven't had time to thoroughly read them.

Definitely looking forward to more!

Lol, I just sold most of my warzone stuff last year and NOW it's making a comeback! Best of luck to the game makers! (not sarcastic) It was a decent set of rules and art (minis were as previously mentioned across the spectrum from great to horrible) and it's good to see it coming back. Now.. if only VOR would do something similar before I sell it...

Maybe that's the key! If you sell all your VOR stuff, someone will revive it next year!

...Wow. I continue to be very pleased with these. I look forward to handing over a dumptruck full of money in exchange for several tons of these minis.

Yes.

This looks good to me! I can't really chip in right now, but I'll definitely be picking up the Dark Legion and Brotherhood starter sets as soon as I can. Best of luck with the Kickstarter!

...I actually think I like the old Vulcan more.

The new one is still pretty awesome, though, so I won't complain.

Actually I think it's four dice for 6GBP, which still strikes me as.... fairly pricey.

On the plus side, I'm definitely liking the minis and am glad that the Kickstarter is still going pretty well. I'm hoping they can make at least the Capitol stretch goal, though I've already decided Dark Legion and Bahaus as the starter sets I'm going to pick up when they're released and I have the cash, and Brotherhood later on.

I should think, by definition, reaching the goal amount means success for the kickstarter at least, and that anything beyond that is...well, bigger success.

Of course, that doesn't mean the game itself will automagically be successful, too, but so far I quite like the minis, I'm interested in the card bit after watching the video, and... well, we'll just have to wait to see the rules.

I like what I see so far. Interested in seeing vehicle rules (I noticed an "Anti-vehicle value" stat). I'm not sure that running out of cards will be an issue; a deck of 60, draw five at the start of the game, and then you have 55 cards left; it says you can spend a resource to draw a card at any point. Even if you can do more than one per turn (say someone does five per turn starting with turn 1), that's still something like 8 turns.

As for the cards themselves, I like them, I think they'll add a lot of flavor to the game. That's just my opinion, of course.

EDIT: Double post oh god how did this get here oh god I am not good with computer

EDIT EDIT: Uh... weird, not a double post?

Anyway, random game length never bothered me, and I never heard anyone complain about it, but I wasn't really on any forums back then.

Still, I wouldn't lose a bit of sleep if they changed it to just reshuffling your discard pile and starting again, or even just playing without the cards.

Wow, I really like those Hussars.

Wow, this is great!

Though since someone always has to complain, I guess I'll be That Guy and say I don't really care for the exposed eyes and think it would be cooler (and perhaps even more sensible) if he had lenses.

BUT. It's still frigging brilliant, and I'm totally sold on Bauhaus regardless and it will be the first army I buy, exposed eyes or not.

well done like that there's the option to show the eyes

or add a dab og green stuff to make a full face mask

That's a good point. Like I said, I like it anyway, and that's a pretty elegant solution to my (tiny, basically a non-)issue.

I agree that the guns are a bit... thick, and the stocks should be againts the shoulders. I also think that the arm/torso and leg combination for model #2 is not the best choice (It looks like the torso is in a running pose, but the legs are in a firing stance), but that's not really a serious issue since there's options.

Despite the silly guns and the awkward stocks, I still think Bauhaus is my favorite, though.

the shoulderpads are resting into thin air unsupported by somethign physical

Didn't notice this before, can't unsee it now. The shoulder pads ought to be lowered a bit.

I happen to really like the helmets.

Wow, dial back that weapon! Way too big.

Same for the shoulder pads, they need to be substantially smaller as well.

If you guys are going for realistic, then by all means go with realistic! Let GW be GW, with their outsized pauldrons and ridiculous weapons. Think modern, low-drag/high-speed, slick and smooth not bulky and bunched.

It looks like you should obtain a replica weapon and some body armor in order to try out poses before you draw them or have someone model for you, because there are certainly no reference materials you know, on the internet of how soldiers move and fight.

Did you miss the part where he posted the picture of what the actual weapon size would be?

Well, not a bare ass as I think she's wearing some kind of catsuit, but the observation is still valid.

I do hope they modernize the capitol line like they did with bauhaus. Despite capitol being my favorite, they definitely seemed the corniest in terms if design/style choices. Please do NOT remain very faithful to the art posted above!!!!

What are you saying? You mean you have a hard time taking guys in football padding and baseball caps seriously as soldiers on a futuristic battlefield? Because-... man, I can't even be sarcastic about it. Those original minis are beyond silly. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how Prodos redesigns them.

Once again, some very nice renders, BUT I agree that holding the minigun like a rifle is kinda.... not so good. Should be a relatively simple fix to have him hold it properly as in Lockark's picture.

Other than that small quibble, I think they're great.

Bob Watts is up on facebook:

I like it, though is it me or do his legs seem too small/torso seem too long? It's a WIP, though. Glad they revamped the silly-looking shoulder cannons.

With the caveat that I don't know a whole lot about the original background of the game, I think the spider-tank-thing is pretty cool.

More great stuff, both the Orca and the Shark. Maybe it's a good thing I don't have any money right now, since that means I'll be giving gakloads of it to my FLGS once this all is released.
