Thats a little far north for me and I dont know how mobile you are, look up thou shall game on facebook it will be a trek but the have some big/fun tournaments and a grate crowd, failing that look on the GW sight store locator be sure to add gaming clubs that should give you a better idea

I live in Hesperia, as far as I know there are no clubs. Right now my wife and I just play together. I think the nearest place you can even go to buy stuff is down the hill and over an hour and a half-ish drive, sorta a long drive to make to play a round. There used to be a hobbytown in Victorville, but it had closed before we moved here (still listed on the store finder even years later for some reason).

Hmmm I guess me and my buddy we'll have to start are own.

Its a little ways a way but there is a very active store in 29Palms called Cry Havoc. Lots of actual marines. There is also an active group in riverside I found on meetup. I dont remember the group name but its worth a look.

Let me know if you would like us to play some games. Just keep in mind we both have very small/limited armies. If you brought armor/fliers against us we would be rolled pretty fast. We are working on building up but it is slow going due to our budgets.

Usually available to play on some weekends only. Save for summer and school breaks, lots of free time then (we both work for the school district and share the students vacations).

Ya that would be great. And me and my buddy don't mind playing small games. How many points do you currently have?

I have 1k but that is just Draigo and 2x5 Paladins. My wife is floating just under 900 with sisters of battle. I also have some codex marines, but would have to count up my points. I am sick right now so I will probably go about that late today or another day depending on how I feel.

Edit: Counted my marines up to 1264 using WYSIWYG, a lot more than I thought. Probably the worst marine list ever, but it is what it is. Also forgot that I just received my Vindicare Assassin for my GKs so that bumps it up a bit.

Sweet GK are awesome. I play necrons 2k, blood angel flesh tears 1500, eldar 1000, and nids 1000. My buddy plays demons.

Sounds good, do you guys have a table to play on? Right now we use two 4x2 boards with a grass mat stapled to each. We place them on folding dinner trays in the den.

ya my friend has 3 2x4 boards with hills on it and plenty of terrain.

Very cool to see this thread . I lived and worked in Hesperia for about 7 years before moving back december 2010.

When i moved to CA i brought my armies with me and pretty much did not find anyone that was playing in high desert area, although i had no internet really to speak of and i got into a few life issues. Anyways, I was excited to see Hobbytown come into Hesperia and i got excited that i could play with some people... then bam it went out of business quickly and almost over night. I just now started updating a lot of stuff for 40k and fantasy since i moved back to Kansas.

I would have loved to have seen this thead when i still lived there i would have gamed with you all for sure! I ended up getting into dirtbike/quad riding and jeeps ... now i love those things too but would have been cheaper to play 40k and fantasy lol.

I still do occasionally visit the area as my kids live there... who knows maybe friend me if want and if/when i do this year i can meet you all and play a game or two .

Hope you find more people and get something going up there in Oak Hills, Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley area!

Correct. We will be busy this weekend (family stuff) and the next (first year aniversary). However we have that whole week off after and should be free most/all week until the following Monday when work starts back up.

Me and a couple of buddies play in Barstow. We'd be more than happy to try a pick up game some time.

Condas- Ok cool. I'm free most weekend's so no pro there.

I know this one is a bit old, but just came back to the High Desert. Any active 40k people in the area feel free to drop me a PM. I'm also willing to get back into Fantasy and have a small Dystopian War Naval fleet.

Try High Desert Gaming Club on Facebook. There a bunch of my buddies that play 40k and fantasy at their homes in Victorville. Ask for Dan Harrison or Ryan. If Lancaster isnt too far. They have tournaments once a month at Battlegrounds and you might be able to find more players there from high desert cali.

I'm separate from the OP, I just high jacked the thread after a forum search. I'm very open to driving for a game on occasion, my main goal is just getting a local group.

A little late on my part, but I just found this post, I just moved back to hesperia after a long while...army sent me to korea for 3 years, then lived in az for the past 5. I used to play at L6G. And miss playing against the guys there. I played as one of the eldar forces in the eye of terror campaign at l6g, maybe some one remembers me...

Anyways, many armies later, I now have a nid army that I am building, and would love to find a local place (maybe vvc or something) to play when it is done.

Sorry I haven't been responding. Just got back from vacation a few weeks ago and had a ton of work to do but I'm caught up now. So I see a few people want games so let me sum up. currently we are playing at one of my friends apartment. its a little small but not too bad for a few people. He has 2 tables one 4x4 and one 6x4 so we can have a few games going. Besides 40k we also play fantasy, WOTR, and mordhiem. We also car pool down to DiceofWar in Racho once in awhile and I'm there usually every week. Let me know when you guy's want a game.

Phatom When are you making another trip down to dice? Im trying to balance out playing 40k and learning warmachine. Im a little rusty on 6ed. If you want to get a pick up game going let me know. I play for fun not a big turnoment player. Right now it was me and a buddy that played he kinda has to much going on so ive been with out any one to play with. I also work 10 min away from them so if you want to game during the week let me know!
