I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone on this forum who supported and helped with releasing my first CD, "Legends: Fantasy Violin"!!! The CD is now released, and I am happy to share a free download of the album title song, "Legends", with all of you - please visit http://www.fantasyviolin.com/music.html to download this track!
Oooh, this is nice and will really go well with my painting playlist. Hmmm...it may be a total insult to the artistic integrity, but I'm kind of curious to see what it would sound like if you put your music through Wubmachine for dubstep violin lol.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Okay, having to sate my curiosity I ran Tavern Dance through the Wubmachine, and the result was actually pretty epic. I'd highly recommend giving it a try to anyone who likes a little dub in their wub.

I am so glad I logged in to Dakka this morning after feeding my little guy. Played a sample, kid fell asleep and I was able to paint some of my eBob scottish rebellion miniatures.
Purchased the cd from your website and looking forward to assisting on kickstarter for the next one. Classical music is truly the greatest form of music and I thank you for having your gift available to listen to.

*now if i can just find some damned alternate high elf heads*
I typically keep Batreps playing in the background while I paint, particularly MWG's Banter Batreps. Sometimes I'll listen to viking metal or The Glitch Mob while painting despite neither being my generally preferred genre of music. The Glitch Mob has some solid music though, Animus Vox, Warrior Concierto, Drive Like You Stole It, etc .

Have you considered putting your music up on Spotify? I know it doesn't make very much per song listen, but it could definitely help exposure. And I'd love to add it to my playlists .
I like having rainymood.com in the background, layered with some soundtrack (usually Silent Hill, Amnesia or something like it)
"When in deadly danger,
When beset by doubt,
run in little circles,
wave your arms and shout." - Litany of Command (parody)
DR:80+SG-MB--I+Pw40k13#----D++A+/eWD-R++T(F)DM+
The Pacific Rim soundtrack is my go-to music at the moment. Lots of stirring instrumentals and guitars, makes me want to paint a giant robot, then paint a giant monster, and then paint a bunch of scenery for them to smash up.
Khorneball - THANK YOU so much!!!! I hope you will enjoy the CD, and thank you very very much for supporting the new Kickstarter too!!!
LadyCassandra - thank you! - and I just went on Spotify and found my album there already - you could find it too by searching for "Legends: Fantasy Violin", or direct link: https://play.spotify.com/album/3iJI9EdZAMLi9YMLMrWxML
Thanks! However, if you didn't put the music up yourself, you may want to act, as whenever those tracks are played, Spotify should be giving you a small amount of money. *goes off to listen*

I always chuck on Classic FM, it keeps me relaxed and focused. Either that or a bit of Four Year Strong!
You're rich! You're flashy! You 'ave a proppa Orky stoutness about your belly! And you've got more big, shooty, and dead 'ard gear than any 2 other Orks put together. Da uvver clans orta make way for da Bad Moons!

Thank you!! - apparently it was put up by CDBaby who handle the distribution of "Legends: Fantasy Violin", so I should be all set! - thank you again and hope you enjoyed it!!!
In the meantime, the OP asked what we listen to. Open youtube, type " 1 hour of epic music" and hit play. There are a few to choose from and also 3 and 5 hour mixes.
The names don't lie. The music is .. for lack of a better word .. Epic.
Dear all, - I just wanted to thank you again for supporting the new fantasy violin release Kickstarter! We are now 71% funded with 10 days to go and $854 to collect, and I wanted to share another track from the "Legends" album that just received a nomination from Hollywood Music in Media Awards! Please check out the video below - and help spread the word about "Excalibur" Kickstarter too!
The Blade Runner OST usually gets fired on with building or painting.
Lovely violin playing, very envious of people who can play as well as yourself (same with any instrument really!) On a slight tangent, it'd be interesting to hear yourself play some established themes. I know it's not very creative, but it certainly would be good for exposure. Thinking superheros would go down a treat what with the current movie/TV climate.

Oh definitely (and thank you so much) - I was thinking about that for later 2014...there is so much music I'd love to play, and I think it's totally creative (and very inspiring!). I am happy you brought it up because I was thinking about it too but never got a chance to explore the idea quite yet. So of course my question...what pieces would YOU like on such a CD? I could probably fill it all with my favorites but I am just curious what would be your choices (when you get a chance ? -
...Thank you again!!!
