My name is Andrew May, for those of you that don't know me I am a miniatures sculptor working on my own "Steampunk army" miniature range. I've decided to come to Kickstarter to fund the release of the whole range of miniatures at once. These can be used as either two distinct armies or with a little imagination fit into many different settings. Most of the miniatures are already sculpted so there's little ambiguity between what you're pledging for and what you will actually receive, for what isn't sculpted there's similar figures already cast, with no concept art or renders to cross your fingers over.

My miniatures have all been sculpted with optional heads making them extremely flexible in their application to many game worlds, take a look at the painted samples below to see how versatile they really are. That being said I primarily designed the miniatures to fit with the world setting of the wargame "Steam & Aether" that I am currently writing. See the images above to see them kitted out as British and Prussian soldiers.

This is only the first wave of releases to support my new business and coming games system. I plan to release all of my rules on free PDFs updated with each release. And expand to more factions and machines over the coming months. Thanks to every one that has helped contribute towards my venture and to those backing this project.

These look to be on the same level as the Crooked Dice minis, a smidge shorter and less bulkier than 28mm heroics.

If it helps, they scale nicely with Perry miniatures.

Is there a level/add on for just heads?

I can imagine for example #22 being very popular with admech players

I'll be selling head sprues after the campaign is over and fulfilled. You might be able to build some useful figures with what is available with the whole figures though.

I already pledged at the Corporal level, but I'll definitely be upping my pledge if some of those stretch goals are unlocked - those special weapons look awesome.

These look like they might fit in with truescale SF stuff like Sedition Wars or Mantic's corporation?

Here's a scale comparison shot, a few backers have asked for one so I felt I had to oblige.

compared to the cadian they look slimmer...but the difference seems to be not that much towards the praetorian and the FW DKOK only is a tiny bit bigger...iirc...

Yes, obviously they vary by pose but on the whole, whilst slimmer they're a fairly good match by hight.

definatly the heads... and the arms and legs come second...i like the fact that you include marching soldiers to your range... that is still very rare... or make some that are standing at ease...

Hmmm really nice but sadly they wont scale well with Dystopian Legions the obvious games system for them.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Will there be options to add different sets of heads to my pledge, or will that have to wait until after the kickstarter ends? There are so many awesome options, I'd like to have a few different sorts for my infantry.

Very nice indeed, the bodies are'nt quite to my tastes, though for a propper steampunk setting they're ideal, the well thought out selection of heads realyl gets my attention though!

Is there a single head type/expression to each style of heargear without a facemask/gasmask or multiples which you hav'nt pictured?

We broke 50% this morning, great work everyone, thanks so much. We still need to double the amount so share the campaign, tell all your friends and you can all get the army that you want!

Cool stuff!

I was a bit confused, how do you choose heads? Do you pick a specific set for the number of models you get (ex: 3 #2 heads, 1 number 5 head...)

After the campaign ends, I send out a survey. You can choose heads multiples of 6 for infantry or 2 for specialists.

Hi everyone, things are ticking over nicely here and I've been polishing off the next lot of heads for you all.

Tomorrow I will be adding shots of some "compilation" head sprues and and unlocking heads as an add on and pledge level.

I've got a few tricks up my sleeve but was wondering what else you would like to see as add ons? I'm only one person so I have to be realistic about fulfilment but let me know your ideas, any call for things like t-shirts etc?

better stay true to the army building goals...

but what to add? well what about seperate guns... backpacks and such thuings...

also... the new heads look brilliant... the crowd will love to tear the 32. head from your hands while they are still warm...
and 30 and 34 have lots of potential too!
