The Renegade Open Grand Tournament is a weekend of miniature war gaming for Warhammer 40K held Nov. 23rd & 24th 2013 at the Rockwoods Banquet Center

Over $2,500 in prizes will be given out in our inaugural year with a staggering $1,200 in cash awards. This will be the event of the year for hobby wargaming in Minnesota. The Fortress of Redemption, Skyshield Landing Pad, Firestorm Redoubt, Vengeance Weapon Batteries, Bastions, and Aegis Defense Lines will be allowed as long as they fit on the board without moving terrain around. All Terrain will be fixed on tables and Fortifications must be able to be placed on the board without having to move terrain.

I going to ask this age old question. I ask this in public because i bet others want to know also.

How to get from st-min airport to the holiday inn that about a hour away? taxi? rental car?

My guess is a taxi and rental car will be about the same price if you go to and from the airport with a taxi. We have been talking about picking people up ourselves depending on when and how many people are coming from out of town. I happen to live about 5 minutes from the airport.

Man! Talk about service!!

I'd suggest a rental vehicle. You can usually get them for ~$30 a day. Less, if you don't need anything special.

I ended up having to put the code into the corporate rate field, not the group rate one.

There appears to be no discount or group rate online.

Worked for me when I plugged it into the corporate rate box online. It said I had to call it in under the group rate box.

I tried that too, but the rates were the exact same.

I just got off the phone with them and the normal rate is $149 and the block we have set aside is $119. I would give them a call and ask instead of letting the computer screw you over.

When are army list due? Or will you TOs just be auditing them the day of?

We haven't set a deadline for army lists to be due by yet. Realistically, I would like them a week out to look over and make sure they are good to go to avoid the day of mistakes and corrections and possible problems. We are going to discuss this as a group this coming monday and make a decision.
