As the title suggests just want to hear some ideas for ideal stories like to read from BL.
For me I love to read a type of murder mystery featuring a member of the Inquisition investigating some murder of an important official, maybe a newly appointed Space Marine Chapter Master/Captain. Then the Inquisitor is sent in with his newbie underling and they have to determine if the chapter is lost to chaos or xeno taint. So that is one story I like to read, what about y'all?

Love here Clone Commando stories.
Another good story to read (along those lines) be a Space Marine unit behind enemy lines that need to finish a SpecOps mission.

In this post, when I say series I mean at the very least a trilogy.
-I want a series on the Octavius War and how the two species (Orks and Nids) who evolve at astronomic speeds are affecting each other. It could start out with Kryptman designing his final solution.
-A good series on the conflict between the Tau and Hive Fleet Gorgon.
-A proper series about the third war for Armageddon.
-A series on Necrons that is told from the perspective of the dynasty. I'm tired of stories where the POV is from a pathetic human who just observes them as these epic robots, etc. etc. I would love some grand story with war, time-traveling shenanigans to screw competing dynasties around, epic confrontations with fellow Necron personalities, and so on.
Give me my lore, GW!!

A story from the perspective of Necrons that doesn't feature Rowboat Girlyman's legion of time travelling donkey-caves. (I'm still sore about Veil of Darkness, that ending was total ballistic skill)
A story from the perspective of an Ork.
More Corn marines. I love those first person perspective audio dramas about Kharn.
More Slaanesh marines.
More hardcore Eldar torture porn.
Some hardcore Tau torture porn.
The End of the Heresy.
And most of all, more audiobooks. I ain't got no time for lookin' at dem shiny crinkle bricks wiv' 'dem dumb squiggles all in 'em.

One that properly chronicles Ghazghkull's rise to prominence on his planet alongside details about his interactions with Makari and Grotsnik along the way.
It would also be nice to see one on Creed and how he and Jarran Kell became the dynamic duo they are known to be nowadays.

Yes please! The soul hunter series was awesome.
As for stories I would like to see:
The fall of a guardsman following the story from a loyal IG to question the imperium and thous turning renegade. Being dragged into or joining chaos and maybe in the end back again to loyal or the ultimate price of chaos.
Would also like a story from Nids perspective even just a short story or from a Gretchin

Why on earth would you want that abomination of an author even touching the Black Library? Her work is atrocious and worse than most of even the worst Black Library authors, bordering around the territory of the awfulness of C.S. Goto, although Goto would probably actually bother to check his damn facts (yes Goto) than Traviss. The RC novels (and pretty much all of the books by Traviss) were not only terrible works trying to force feed anti-jedi views down our throats while introducing Mary Sues (the Nulls) worse than even the most wanked Space Marine captain, but are prone to far more discrepancies than the Black Library. The mando spank was atrocious If anything, IP owners should kick her out of the building if she even suggests working for the Black Library? Seriously man, how the do you think she's any good when both Halo and Star Wars were screwed by her showing up?
http://www.karentraviss.com/page10/files/Is_it_true_you_hate_Jedi_.html
http://www.karentraviss.com/page10/
As a person who enjoys writing, Traviss is an abomination as a writer equaled only by Goto or Ward, although she's arguably the worse of the three and I can't believe anyone can actively like the crap she pumps out without any understanding of the lore she's mauling and the overpowered as hell Gary Sues she's making. Unless you want some utter stupidity like the Tau suddenly having black hole guns or Space Marines having explicit FTL reaction times and just nonsense worse that what's typical, keep. Her. Out.
As for my wishlist, more on CSM's. There's a sad lack of long series (good series at that) focusing on CSM's rather than Space Marines. I for one would love a more series focusing on the Black Legion similar to ADB's Night Lords trilogy, with more elements of Chaos involved and giving us a good view into the lives of the Chaos Astartes, especially the current state of the Black Legion. Maybe something similar to that one short story focused on a Black Legion squad in the Space Marine short story collection.

So yeah wouldn't it be cool if Karen Traviss did a series about Karksin Storm Troopers... and they were totally more badass than Space Marines and Psykers and other superhuman stuff? Or maybe she could do a series involving Fire Warriors... or maybe at least some short stories about some Cadian Shock Troopers.

RETCRON: Taking back the past
A story where Trazyn steals Orikan's time travelling technology to head back into the past. Here he seeks to undo the damage to the time line caused by a group of daemons meddling with the Horus Heresy. Along the way he meets a down and out Guilliman and the two form a friendship that crosses time itself.

I loved almost everything about the Eisenhorn trilogy except the endings, everything about the endings felt very rushed and anti-climatic compared to the rest of the novel.

I think the fundamental difference is that Star Wars always attempts to show the Jedi as unambiguously good people, regardless of their many shortcomings. With Space Marines, it's a different story, since the setting itself leans towards the "Everyone is a different shade of evil", and Space Marines can just as often be seen as butchering thugs as they are heroic.
Check out her books in the Halo and Gears of War series. She doesn't always go for the main heroes of the story and make them out to be scapegoats.

Been Around the Block

I need a fething epic mind feth of a story. A story with such a huge power structure, you never know just who is REALLY in charge. You think this one guy is the main man pullin' all the strings, but later on he ends up looking like a bitch at the hands of another guy/thing, which turns out to be at least twice as powerful than the previous guy But then the bitch fights back, tries to usurp the twice powerful thing, by learning secrets and making deals, etc.
In this story, you never know which races are working together, which race has the advantage over things...
Imagine, a VERY powerful chaos psyker marine hosting a game of evolution. He takes a planet which is and has extremely valuable things for all the races in this galaxy. He sets up psychic anomalies throughout this galaxy, portals and tunnels, consciousness directors, all controlled by secret patterns and codes. So army after army becomes drawn into this planet through subliminal persuasion and staged events to further liminally persuade the target to come to the planet. Biological codes for each race are triggered through mass manipulation of a super human genius.
Most races blindly go about their seemingly forced existence completely unaware of how life actually works. This psychic monstrosity (well, monstrous in the eyes of the weak and controlled) of a being, this chaos space marine psyker/sorcerer knows this fact all too well. It begins to play all the races into fething with each other. An experiment for new configurations, new generations, maybe new races. But for the loyal dog soldier, it is just a new peak of savagery and conflict for him.
This planet is in lock down now. Using the warp, the planet and the immediate space around it including the planet's moons, are cordoned off from the rest of the solar system. The skies ain't blue anymore - it is what ever color it feels like now! The planet and it's space is choked by an extremely well crafted and completely controlled "warp storm", as the simpletons call it.
And every race is present. Every race has their representation on the planet and around it, within it's grid. Everyone's beliefs are challenged further than most can bear. The big ole' human empire, split in so many directions, prominently tries to ascertain it's power on this stage. But the Eldar are here. They may be even older and definitely crazier than the humans, but they are equally split up amongst themselves. The Eldar can see the game and they want in on it for their own evolution. Prime vortices's of life, the Orks are rampaging on in, their purity of purpose vital to the game. Ork after ork become more enlightened, and that causes problems with the less enlightened ones. Like the humans and eldar, the orks are split, they are at each others throats. The tau is also here. The vespid, the kroot, the ARAKLIONID CARADOCHIAN CRYPTOS Tyranids, Necrons, most of the aliens off this list:
http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?11125-Ultimate-Lesser-Xeno-list-descriptions
It's a huge cluster feth, the planet divided into main factions such as:
- Imperium of Man alliance
* IG guys, SM dudes, sisters, Inquisition, admech, and others (maybe even tau guys recruited
* IG guys might not get along with Inquisition, and vice versa. No one gets along in this game. For instance, too much psyker use ("THE WHOLE PLANET's a god damn wrap miasma, what did you expect? No I can levitate!" - Inquisition guy: " HERESY!!!! KILL HIM! HE IS ChAOS!" "but I'm not chaos, well, maybe I should be blah blah blah)
- Chaos alliance
"feth the imperium of man, I am embracing this planet and furthering my own ascension! I can shoot fire out of my eyes, how cool is that!'
*A warband "Lost and the Damned" style, chaos IG basically
*Chaos SM too
*Chaos admech, and others
*These guys, same thing - no one gets along - all four chaos gods and a n undivided sect, they constantly at odds with each other
- Eldar
-Dark Eldar
* Dark Eldar are starting to get psychic again!!!! And in ways the normal eldar are very afraid of. The two are at odds, but more than willing to work together under the circumstances.
* very unlikely they recruit anything other than Eldar
-Primary Tau Empire
*Traditional tau with many races
*losing their grip on reality thats for sure
-Secondary Tau Empire
*"feth THE ETHEREALS!!"
*Not exactly chaos, but like all the races, they split in two
Primary Ork empire
-The first orks that got here, under the original boss structure
2nd Ork
-Weirded out more than most, they are flying around all crazy like, although to any human, both groups of orks look the same, act the same.
NIDS
Either under control by synapse or not, the creature it self can be split, like any other race
NECRONS
The HOLY feth WHAT THE feth WHO ARE THEse GUYS WORKING FOR, the originators of chaos, a necron tomb world this planet actually was. The necrons are starting to split amongst themselves.. some necrons want to use chaos... these guys reveal themselves later, once everything starts truely gettting fethed.
- - -
feth! Should just make this into a MMOFPSRPG GRAND THEFT AUTO STYLE GAME WITH REALISTIC PHYSICS AND 3rd/1st person, so much customization available.

that's kinda what I'm saying though, if she had issues with the JEDI as they where depicted I imagine she'd take one look at 40k and be horrified. Space Marine recruitment practices are pretty brutal and if you make it, you pretty much kiss your family good bye, and say so long to ever having a relationship (she seemed to object to this in her SW novels. even in "no prisoners" which didn't involve Mandos she did essentially harp on about this.) likewise she'd proably not be too happy with the Imperium's treatment of psykers. which makes the Jedi's policy of "collect them and raise them as monks" seem positivly enlightened (one could draw a parellel between psykers and force sensitives, as both have the potential to develop strange and wonderful powers, that could if left alone have disasterous concequences)

I would probably die happy for a story from the Tyranid view, that didn't make them sound stupid. Barring that, a remake of that biologis book discussing the different species, with a heavy focus on the Tyranids.

This horror, this abomination, has thought and purpose that functions on an unimaginable, galactic scale and all we can do is try to stop the swarms of bioengineered monsters it unleashes upon us by instinct. Would be cool to read but I still like a good old fashion murder mystery set in 40k. It be interesting to see an inquisitor be more Sherlock Holmes then James Bond (Eisenhorn).
