Subject: The Others 7 Sins CMON Studio McVey + Guillotine Games KS @ $685K - APOCALYPSE UPDATE on Pg.27
I'm hoping that The Others will be a kind of cooperative tabletop version of The Secret World (which.. granted.. is pretty much a videogame version of CoC: Delta Green). Imagine combining the Zombivor aspect of Zombicide with the Strain evolution from Sedition Wars.. where winning is about holding on to as much sanity and - as your character is physically corrupted - humanity.. as possible.

This seems like it could be a good match up. Let both companies play to their strengths, and with CMON at the helm, at least we'll get a nice package of goodies in the end.
I'd like to think the growing pain days of Sedition Wars figure quality and Relic Knights delays will become more a thing of the past.
Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!
Cthulhu in the futre? It will either have fantastic but really expensive miniatures or cheap sub-par miniatures if McVey are involved. Though I would be intrested to know if McVey have nithing to do with the rules, just leaving it to GG whilst they handle the sculpts. I would like McVey to come to a middle ground with the miniatures with this as I cant afford there standard resin (well of course I can, I just don't want to pay their prices! ) and I have a bunch of their SW which I'm not a huge fan of.

Guillotine made a fun, simple ruleset for Zombicide so hopefully that's what they'll bring to the table,
not a big fan of the minis or their material
Studio McVey made some really nice stuff for Sedition Wars but was (in part) let down by the material (I prefer them to Zombicide), so hopefully they can have the same vision and really talented sculptors, but a step up in production material
as I don't feel like trying to clean mould lines off gribbly organic cthuloid minis, it's hard enough on relatively flat smooth sedition wars troopers
I'd also want my solo rules for sedition wars in hand before they launch anything new otherwise I fear them being put on the back burner again

I'm kind of curious if this is the game that Andrea Sfiligoi was working on (the guy that did Song of Blades and Heroes). He mentioned a while back he was working on a near future Cthulhu inspired game for a Kickstarter campaign.
Could fit the bill, but then again, his name would probably be on it. Also there's a bit of a geographical difference in where Guillotine Games and Ganehsa Games are located, so it could just be me putting two random coincidences together.
Also- anyone see anything about Ron & Bones, the pirate mini game that was on display?

CMON bought Ron and Bones over a year ago. I asked about it once and told me they planned on doing a KS in the future, and this was not long after SedWars finished it's KS.
Over at the McVey forum, Member of the forum and DakkaDakka member DaveC posted an image (which I can't see because I forgot my password) and said th game was players vs 1 player controlling monsters.
I'll watch this one to see, but still feeling a little down from the SedWars game.
No madam, 40,000 is the year that this game is set in. Not how much it costs. Though you may have a point. - GW Fulchester The Gatling Guns have flamethrowers on them because this is 40k - DOW III

Yes it's a Board game.
It's just a screen cap image of the monsters from the video.
I have no other info for you I'm afraid (even if I know a guy )
Oh there is an official website as well - just a place holder for now

I really hope so and that they use this game to start using said material as I really like the art so far.

At least with monsters and unspeakable horrors, differences in scale are a little less noticeable.
Still wonder if there's any involvement from Ganesha games in regards to rules, as they had mentioned being involved a while back with a KS campaign for a near future Chthulhu versus modified humans game, with rules for a board game that were expandable to a traditional tabletop skirmish game.
If this isn't what Ganesha was helping witht, I guess that will be one more source of plastic Lovecraftian monstrosities I can look forward to.

being a board game, I don't have high hopes on them providing the highest quality minis. Zombicide minis are pretty damn good for a board game. They are not as crisp as say 40k minis or Infinity. But target method of production does not call for such methods for a board game.
I'm more concerned about quality rules and replay value than miniature quality. They could give me meeples and card board standees for all I care.

Too early to tell. Just some fun pictures and a nice mini but until I know how it all works together there's not really anything to get super excited about.
Really not a fan of "teaser" trailers that don't really show anything.
