No pics, I'm afraid, but my general recipe for Deathwing is as follows:

Base/Prime Light Brown

Paint armour Bone/Off-white. Leave the brown in the recesses.

Glaze with mid-brown twice, letting it pool in the recesses.

Paint details.

Hope that helps.

Here is a Deathwing Terminator I painted some time ago:

For the armor, I used VMA Camo Light Brown, VMA Light Brown, and VGC Bonewhite. As far as the Bonewhite goes, you could replace it with VMA Sand as it is a pretty close match.
Here is a WIP picture of that same mini on my desk with harsher light:

I've tried a couple different schemes as well, including this dreadnought (spoiler because it's a huge picture):
Spoiler:

I used P3 Battledress Green, P3 'Jack Bone, VGC Off White for the armor.

I go for the traditional / old school WHITE deathwing.

Prime gray (any medium tone will do).

Wash with a 50/50 mix of Sepia and Nuln Oil (or equivalent). I let this pool in the recesses but take care to keep it off of larger flat areas as much as possible.

White: Base coat all white areas with ceramite white. This is a great foundation paint. Layer it on once or twice to get an even coat. Be sure to leave the edges/cracks unpainted. This adds a greyish shadow effect when finished. Build up the flat panels with white until you get a nice even coat. It takes time and patience but it's worth it in the end I think.

Metal: Base all metal areas with black for metal or dark brown for gold. Then layer on the appropriate metal color. Wash with Nuln Oil for grey metallics and Sepia for golds/browns. Edge highlight with chainmail if desired.

Greens: Base with Orkhide Shade (or equivalent). Paint 50/50 Caliban Green and Orkhide Shade. Highlight 50/50 Caliban Green and Warboss Green.

Finish off by adding any other details you want. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll try and help

A little different, I quickly knocked up a squad for gaming like this, Screaming Skull base coat, washed twice with Sepia then a few highlights. Gives a darker/grittier look.

Not trying to be an arse or anything... but if you're a commission painter shouldn't you be telling people how to paint them rather than asking how?

A commission painter called "DeathwingPainter" no less

I already have a scheme and a way to do it but I am mostly just looking for other color schemes, just for a change. Ya I guess i should be a master at deathwing though I am not asking how, I am just looking at other color schemes. I actually dont have anymore deathwing on my blog it is just a death company squad now, I am doing a blog now on my blood angels army. Anyways I am just getting off topic.

Not your fault you are getting off topic when you're getting baited by weak trolls.

Well ain't you two easily upset

I didn't see Deathwing Fanboy taking offence at what was obviously humour.

Been accused of trolling once before... never "weak trolling" maybe I'm not as internet savvy as you two obviously are. Well done!

Hey so I am totally new to this forum and to warhammer in general!

I thought maybe I could my deathwing termies to you, list the colours I have used, and hopefully get some constructive critisism in the process (any good painters out there are welcome to be brutal!)

So the first three pics show my entire terminator force so far! (All ten of em )

I foolishly basecoated the back 5 in black, and the second 5 in the front row white, so some may detect a subtle difference in shade? if so that is probably why!

After basing I put down a layer of ushabti bone (more like 2 layers on the black based ones!)

Then a wash of seraphim sepia

Then I finally went back over the main plates with U bone, and a bit of highlighting with screaming skull. (Not much highlighting though, not sure if I actually like highlighting!)

For the bolter and most red parts I used khorne red (like the darker shade of red to mephiston red) and leadbelcher, these parts I washed in nuln oil before repainting bits and a touch of highlighting.

Other colours I used included caliban green (mixed with a touch of white scar for highlights) xerus purple (same method!) balthasar gold (washed with nuln oil) and one or two others I forget!

I should say, these fella are not quite done yet

I also posted a pic of my dark angel tactical marine (first thats more than halfway nearly done) Im thinking of making all my tactical marines robed as robed marines are awesome looking and kinda fun to paint!

I think I could use some advice on cloaks/robes though, here I used rakarth flesh, storm vermine fur for shadows, before highlighting with screaming skull....

Any thoughts? Would love to hear them!!

Looks pretty good man, it looks like some of the bone does not have enough wash on it. Also i prefer a lighter tone to my bolter but that is just preference. Maybe be a pittle bit more careful with the layering after the wash. It is very time consuming so just take breaks when you feel yourself getting sloppy.

I really like the base colour on the Termies you've used here mate, I'm a big fan of the more yellow/brown shade on Deathwing, nice job!

Here is a pair that I finished last night, I am not the best painter.........

They are based with Army Painter primer, then Usthabi Bone, washed with sepia and highlighted with Screaming Skull.

There's also a squad of them in front of the bastion from a previous paint job.

Not the greatest pic, sorry.

Started with white primer spray.
Ushtabi bone everything
Devlin Mud wash all over.
Details all basecoated.
Wash details in either Devlin Mud or Black
Go over armor with Ushtabi bone to brighten the faces back up and make the wash only show in corners.
Then I add extreme highlights with White scar white on the armor, and one step up of whatever color the details are.

Semi-gloss spray and base

Hey, thanks for highlighting my blog.

I did mine basically using Ushbati Bone for basecoat and drybrush with Seraphim Sepia in between for wash.

I'm currently working on some other DA minis before going back to my termies with a screaming skull drybrush test.
