Kickstarter now LIVE.

So cool. His last kickstarter was pretty successful. Not 100% on the details for the next kickstarter, but these are some really cool models. I greatly enjoyed the last ones so I wanted to share the news that more are coming!

Here is what I got out of his last one.

Spoiler:

I will update as soon as a date is given for the new kickstarter.

Hello Everyone, we hope you've all enjoyed your Scrunt Miniatures from our first Kickstarter, we certainly had lots of postive feedback. Looking back on our first Kickstarter it was pretty huge with about 57 individual miniatures, all made up of multiple parts and 3 vehicles. In fact there was such a lot of original sculpting involved by Bob, that we felt there was so much more potential that the miniatures could offer that hadn't been developed. Bob could see if he used some of the original miniatures as a base for new designs and variations they could make for some great follow on Kickstarters. So hopefully sometime during the next couple of weeks we will unveil the first follow up Kickstarter, I can tell you it will have a Prussian theme.

Thanks for reading

Jackie

Update on Models

Stretch Goals added (pics soon)

Creator Bob Olley about 1 hour ago

We are adding the following as stretchgoals, a Kaiser Wilhelm (standing), a Machine Gun and Crew, a tank commander with hatch (no vehicle but the hatch makes it easy to add to any vehicle you already have). Still to be decided, there will probably be a medic, engineer, and 2 generals looking at a map. Sorry but we don't have pictures of any yet but will get them listed on the project with their stretchgoal requirements as soon as James completes the sketches. We have family commitments over the holiday weekend so unless they are finished today (unlikely but James is doing his best) the project will most likely be updated with stretchgoals on Wednesday or Thursday. thanks Jackie

Great Customer Service too. I was pretty worried about backing since I a lot of kickstarters I hear of had huge delays. I wasnt let down last time, so Im hoping they keep up the effort.

I think he does his own casting. That helps offset delays.

The Olleys ran a tight Kickstarter and were very friendly throughout the campaign. I'd happily back another project of theirs in a heartbeat.

Your Scrunts look good, Swastakowey. Do you have any pictures of them next to your Victoria Lamb infantry? I only pledged for pith helmet heads in the last Scrunt KS, so I have been unclear about the dimensions of the full models.

Images for scale

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

I think those are the best ones I can find quickly.

I can probably dig a bit deeper and find more if youd like, but I havent actually taken a comparison yet. They are pretty chunky, but give a very good impression of looking very squat.

Nah, those are perfect, especially the first shot.

I remember getting the heads in the mail and thinking, "Damn those are large!"

I don't think these recent KS figures will mesh well with my GW Squats, but who cares. They are neat miniatures so they will see table time.

That first shot is actually the best picture I have over all. So much going on in that pic.

They are big, but really give the illusion of being, well squat. Which is enough more me.

I have never owned an original squat so if you get some it may well be worth doing some scale shots of those others who may want these in the future.

People at the club love the 'little' guys. Very unique.

Might save a few pennies for the cockfight match. Maybe think of some ways to make them into Malifaux minis, as they seem fitting!

I came very close to buying the cockfight and thugs sets. Could make some cool dioramas with those.

From the last KS page under "risks":

"I will be using Griffin Moulds Ltd an experienced quality moulder and caster to provide castings of the sculpts, they have been responsible for my Olleys Armies miniatures castings for the last 8 years or more, so I know they are reliable and produce top quality metal castings."

They don't do their own casting, but do have a good relationship with their casting service.

I'll gladly back anything Mr. Olley has his hands in. He's a GFG through and through.

The Scrunts are much larger than the GW Squats. Bob actually e-mailed me when I signed up for the pith helmet heads in the KS stating I would try them with some plastic Squat torsos to let me know they didn't match. No problem, they are lovely sculpts in themselves and I just have to buy more Scrunt torsos to use the heads up.

The rifle looks abit like it is true-scale rather than being heroic... will there be separate rifle arms bits available too? of so is it compatible with 40k Imperial Guard? meow~

I personally prefer these rifles to the weapons of the last kickstarter. I also thoroughly enjoy the command set up they have going.

Sorry for the late updates, just been at a tournament.

The images have been added to the OP.

Cat - No not really. These guys are oddly proportioned due to the scrunty nature of the model. With some work maybe, but not really worth it.

They all look good, but as I'm not army building they're probably less useful to me than the steampunk stuff,

but I hope to pick up some of them

I will be adding a adding these scrunts to make an extra platoon in my guard army as mercenaries. My other games cant really incorporate these models, so its the only way I can justify getting 10 or so of them.

Now funded,

Bob's been asked to add some stretchgoals, amongst the suggestions from two of our backers Nicklas & Chris are "maxim/gatling/mg42 would be GREAT! gun crews - drivers - stretcher bearers - medics" and "two/three man HMG team of some sort? A steampunked MG42 type gun. Perhaps with a couple of weapon options...anti tank gun...electro zap gun thingy..."
Anyone here have any thoughts on these or would like to second these suggestions?

Haha, every morning I wake up to find you keeping me updated Cheers mate.

I think they need some old school communications guys. A telegraph guy with a dog to drag out the wire would be cool. I think thats what they used to do pretty far back.
