I really like the Gork/Morkanaut model but I don't know which one to choose and how to run that particular model.
Thanks in advance,

Using the Morkanaught with KFF seems like a good way to cover a walker wall

Get the ghaz supplement and try out the dreadmob.
Not amazing, but amazing looking on the field.
Nauts are overcosted badly, but morkanauts can at least provide a fairly robust kff bubble.
Knights are much better for the cost though :(

Morkanaut!!!
1.cheaper
2. no KFF, to expensive
3. don't use it as fire support. Run that guy across the field and use his str.:10 Ap: 1 weapon to do your work.
This will force your opponent to shoot at him with everything he's got. Sparing the rest of your army.
(Grot riggers are a good idea to have)

If you're going to run him like that without the KFF, make it a gorkanaught he has a special file for cc (rampage I believe)

Yeah but, using a 200+ point model to soak up fire isn't worth it, in my books.

200+ bullet magnet isnt a bad idea if it can actually do it. Nauts kinda cant since they have a chance to pop instantly. Meltas or lascannons can pop them pretty fast.
Theyre severely overcosted, but still useful. The deffstorm mega shoota is quite scary but the iissue is it excells at killing the same thing lobbas kill....at a much higher cost lol

I have been playing with a gorkanaught in 1k-1500 point battles, he has yet to disappoint me. So far he seems to be a good fire support/ back field objective collector . I love using him, he is very fun to run with the support of the the other dreads too

I also like the Gorkanaut, I didn't try it as backfield unit but I will since his deffstorm can sometimes be surpringly good.
I usually want to bring it to the opponent face asap. For a Gorkanaut, the fastest way I found so far is Mogrok's Bossboys.
Bonus trick with this formation: at first I filled the gork with burnas for the repair Meks. But now I just put 5 burnas no merk, gork outflank 6", burnas disembark immediately 6", and 5 templates on infantry or on open-topped arks or venoms will wipe that presto. Simpler and more firepower that the 2 kommando flamers.

It depends how you play it, i have a unit of flash gitz along with my morkanaut both have similar range and decent firepower plus kff keeps the gitz safe (mostly ) and the gitz stop any charges on the morkanaut.

Flash gitz are great...try using the git formation with badrukk and battlewagon....almost everthing they hit will die. I played a 1500 list against eldar to other day.... my gitz were the only units that killed anything(striking scorpions, DA,Rangers, WS, Wraithlord, guardians, and Crimson hunter) put them with a morkanaugt with a KFF and now you have a good anti tank support/ TEQ killer. Costly , but fun to use.

Man up and play using the Morkanaut, not some counts as knight thing!
It isn't great, but it is orky.
The Gorkanaut has the cool looking gatling gun.... but that is about it.
If you want a knight style model, just get the stompa.

I use it as the Morkanaut and to tell you the truth it hasn't done that much at all in the 3 games I've played it.
The one saving grace has been the KFF which has kept a few Wagons alive for another turn.
May be just me, but the shooting is terrible. I haven't made any significant damage with it at all.
I think that if I was to build him again, I'd go with the Gorkanaut and place a KFF mek with some Burnas inside.
Would be more expensive, but I think that it would be a serious platform for some damage.
Also, firing Overwatch with the deffstorm mega shoota would be good as well as being able to Snap Fire if shaken etc..

really dont know why people think the Gorkanaut has better shooting. Yes, it fire a blast which really doesnt care about orky BS (since you need BS5 for the scatter to no longer be a real issue). But get this, its a single small blast.....wow... Aside from the KMB on its chest rather than a heavy flamer, its other guns are identical to the gorkanaut. S8 Ap2 kills armor better but orks need a ton of it to be viable, or stupid luck. The deffstorm megashoota fires like crazy, eliminating the ork problem. And its better in melee due to rampage. Only reason i would ever field a gork is if i truely needed that KFF and didnt have the HQ slot and/or the bodyguard unit to attach the mek to. Since mek on bike + kff + small bodyguard is roughly the same cost as a gork anyway. You dont want him alone, even if hes hiding out of sight behind wagons, because if one of those wagons pops then hes in clear sight and will be focused to hell and back

I think you mean a Morkanaut. Morkanauts have the Kustom Mega Blasta/Kannon and can take KFF, Gorkanauts have the skorcha and megashoota.

Ive been liking the idea of a pair of them!
Yeh their overcosted, but totally orky!
I like the morka for the KFF, if your using something like perhaps the flash gitz and lootas to do the brunt of your work, a nice big KFF from the base and a bullet magnet works wonders.
2x gorka with some CCW dreads could be rather nasty and fun with snikrot coming in backfield too? hmmmm

They are a required purchase for ork players really. But playing them? Not so much.
The gorkanaut has no redeeming qualities.
The Morkanaut can at least provide KFF coverage.

I just run the gork, and he takes alot of hits. The mork is what i plan on getting next, it would be nice to add to my collection of walkers , makes the wall much more effective.
