My local club is running a Bushido Campaign. Can any one who has tried it give me their thoughts on it?

Good game. The mechanics of it are easy to pick up. Its a game with some decent depth. Need to think about the order of activation alot. Most every model has some kind of ki fuelled ability, but the real key is deciding whether to fire off your ki in small bursts many times in a game, or save it up and go for the one shot whammy later on.

I really like it, the factions all play differently so it shouldn't be hard to find one that suits your style and the minis are gorgeous and fun to paint up.

Thanks mate. Me and the gf have decided to jump into the local campaign. I am going for the Tengu and she's going for the ito clan.

The recent Tengu release made me take another look at Bushido too!

I'm looking forward to reading about your experiences/thoughts/reviews on the game!

I'd be interested to see what you think of it as well carlos as I've had my eye on this game for a long time but never quite made it to purchasing any models.

Enjoying it do far. It'd a bit heavy on the special.skills.but is lots of fun. I like the combat pool mechanic where both combatants have go assign dice to attack or defence without the opponent seeing which you are going to use it you see what they are going to use.

The misses went for the snake clan. Some fantastic models there and I am somewhat jealous of her models that said I do really like my Tengu. Even the humans with them look cool if bot very Japanese.

I've also been looking at picking this up as the minis are pretty neat (especially the tengu), how easy is it to pick up? I would go to a store to learn but there seems to be a grand total of 5 stockists in the uk all of which are nowhere near me.

I'm enjoying it a lot more now that I am.more familiar with the rules. Still a lot of reference to the rulebook though at this point.

What part of the UK are you based? I know of at least one place in Wales two places in Essex and one in London that stock it of that's any good to you.

Yeah the Tengu are great. Though I have looked at a few other factions longingly.

I picked up the Ito starter, Kaihime, Mizuki and Kazuhiko. Batman gets priority as I have opponents for it but I'm looking forward to when I get around to my Bushido models.

I am hoping the local club will want to get into batman next year as it looks great and I love the low model count.

My Misses went for ito aswell.

Also ibwill technically have shadow wind when rise of the Kage turns up.

Well, my models arrived a few weeks ago and I must admit they are pretty nice, unfortunately one of the models they sent was wrong and GCT's customer services seem non-existent as they didn't contact me when I e-mailed to ask why the models were so horribly late arriving. and although they replied to my second email about them sending the wrong model the replacement still hasn't turned up despite them saying they had sent it in the reply which I received over a week ago (I am starting to think they haven't sent it at all). I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems like this with GCT?

I had a problem with a mispacked model and they replied in a few days and I got the replacement parts about a week after that. The replacement they sent was mispacked however die to a factory mixup a o I contacted them again and in a little more than a week I got the correct replacement,

Long story short they have probably sent it

Have they provided you with a tracking number?

If you think it's taking too long to arrive, then insist that they give you the tracking number. That should allow you to at least confirm that it's been shipped.

Of course, given how frequently some of the shipping employees bother to update the information, you might not know much more than that.

The game was ok. The dice management system on what your doing was cool, and its pretty brutal. The undead faction was super OP though. And its the reason it stopped in our area and not carried anymore. Not that there was a ton playing, but still.

I've got quite a bit of stuff now. Found some cheap at a wargames show and picked up a bit more Ito and some random Cult and Savage Wave models, which I now need to make a armies out of.

I also bought some 4ground buildings to use a scenery in Bushido and Ronin.

Yeah I can understand that. It's why I'm a believer in buying what looks cool abd making a list after

played my first game last night and I must admit I like it a lot, I lent some models to my opponent (tarobo and taliriktug) while I took kotenbo and a zephyr guard so we had 14 rice each. I learnt the hard way how good tarobo and taliriktug are with both my models being utterly destroyed by taliriktug's cleave ki feat. needless to say my opponent really enjoyed the game as well so hopefully I'll be able to get a small group of us playing at my local club.
I'm also hoping to pick up some of the ninjas at some point as they look pretty good.

Nowadays I just find it hard to paint models I don't like.

Glad you liked it. I think it's quite tricky finding out how good models are by looking at the cards. It feel like you really want to try everything in a game.

I hope I can get some of my club to interested. It's why I'm getting bits of so many factions, so I can share with those who'll play but are not interested in buying.

Yeah I have too much unpainted stuff to buy things I don't like the look off. I have no issue buying something that looks cool and I enjoy painting that sucks on the table though.

You are right though its ahrd to know whats good without trying it. The cards are on the website however and you can always proxy.

I got whole pile of models from Wayland's black Friday sale. Mostly for Savage Wave, I guess they're not the most popular as they had the best range of models left.

I've also got some missing parts, hopefully I'll get them without too much trouble.
