Highly unlikely - on current form, far more likely they'll all reappear for pre-order in next week's White Dwarf in the new white boxes with round bases and tinkering with model count...
But always worth holding out for a redesign and a pleasant surprise...
Reboxed ala plague monks, dryads, treemen and some of the former warriors of chaos range. They'll be back, rocking 25-32mm bases and a new name.
Unfamiliar with AoS fluff, are the new lizardmen kind of like a good sci-fantasy equivalent of dark eldar? They pop out of nowhere, do stuff, then pop back into wherever they came from?
This is where I'd put my signature...If I had one!

Oh hardy har har.
Give up their cool Aztec theme for generic Salamanders or the tabletop version of Nintendo's Kremlings.

Pretty much. The Seraphon are noted as celestial daemons who explode into a daemon banishing light when they are slain. No word on what's made that change yet but I'm betting on the old ones wanting revenge.
I'm in the rebasing boat myself. I'm hopeful for a few new models to spearhead their change.

I wonder if they'll receive a style change and swap from Aztec to something else. We'll probably find out next week what's the go with them anyhow.
The Seraphon do sound like they could fit into a cleaning advert: BAM! And the chaos is gone!

That would require GW to release new models. I daresay that will not happen as all of GW's efforts in supporting AoS seem to have been thrown squarely at sigmarines and khornites while the rest just get updated box art.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.
I just want round bases damn it, I'm about to start collecting an AoS army and don't want to get half way through and have the kits go all round on me. However I also don't want to buy round bases on top of kit prices...

Ha, yeah, re-basing is gakky. Still re-basing my Blood angels. On topic, not sure how they'll be repacked but skinks are 6/sprue if I recall so hopefully they stay the same at 24/box.

What are you even moaning about? GW repackaging the old models for AoS is great for new players and old.
For new players it is the same as getting a new faction. They get more models ready for the game and campaign/book support.
For old players, models they like stay in production for longer.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)
They will be repackaged, there's simply no way GW would re-sculpt the entire range, and there's no need to either. Hopefully they will also get something new, which the Pestilens and Sylvaneth didn't, but then again they're much smaller factions.
Gimgamgoo wrote: And maybe like the 40K fire warriors, we'll be treated to a 17% reduction in figure contents but with a 36% price rise. Yay.
:-(
Of the top of my head, I'm pretty sure all the AoS reboxings have resulted in a lower cost per model, although the boxes themselves are more expensive in some cases (like the Khorne Skullcrushers)

Repackaging =/= new faction (or heck, even new models within a faction) and I know you know that that very well, Bottle.
There's a huge difference between the Sigmarine and "new" Khornate miniatures release and the repackaging of old ones. Repackaging involves zero new design, no new rules for the "new" miniatures...
For new players it only saves them the bother of having to grab round bases from a 3rd party... if they really wanna play with the round bases. For the older gamers it's same as usual - perhaps with a price hike (*cough* Skullcrushers *cough*) :p the stats for those units are already out anyway.
What jonolikespie is saying is that the "true" effort at the moment is behind the sigmarine and Khorne armies, as repackaging isn't really much of an effort behind AoS, but more like a necessary thing just so they can have all their fantasy models come out with round bases and with a different boxes - to keep the brand from looking chaotic.

Good luck with that. This is GW you're talking about.

I would love new models for the Seraphons, but well...we can't know before it's in the White Dwarf, nowadays.
At least, have new boxes for "basic" saurus and skinks (or what they would be called in AoS). If they are cool, will catch a few ones just for the pleasure of the miniature.

For a new player who has never seen WHFB it makes zero difference if the Dyrads are new sculpts or not. Jono is trying to scrape the barrel for complaints by making out like GW haven't released enough stuff for AoS. There are 5 armies (Sigmarines, Khorne, Skaven, Nurgle and Sylvanteth) 2 campaign books, and a whole set of new scenery, and if these rumours are true a 6th army with a 3rd campaign book.

Well if you wanna go there there are currently 19 armies, but only one of them is *truly* new and, after AoS hit, only one of the pre-existing armies got new units (unless I am mistaken, of course). The rest is the same, but updated for the AoS system.
I think you won't disagree if I say that GW has released just enough to provide the one truly new faction with some basic fluff, and to provide enough new units to the groundmarines' chosen antagonist to have the aesthetics and scale match. Along with that came a couple of (BRB priced) books to provide the players with the real mechanics for AoS. As for the rest - it's just really just a mixture of damage control (so the WHFB crowd doesn't burn their houses in their sleep) and brand re-alignment.

Sure there is only one army that is unrecognisable from WHFB and that's the Sigmarines. I just don't think GW have to resculpt the entire range to count as "supporting" AoS.

I am not saying it isn't supporting, but it's supporting in a very specific, perhaps narrow, manner.
I think it would have been a very cool idea (And much more profitable for GW, I believe) to release at least one new unit per faction as AoS hit (possibly in the weeks after the starter box - around 3/4 factions a week?). The effect of the uncertainty of this miniature hiatus for Bret, Elf, Dwarf, Greenskin, etc, etc, could've been minimized then, as they would've been assured that their faction would continue... even if in a different way.
THEN slam the rest of the sigmarines army in for the guys who wanted to collect them (and maybe capitalize on a few more starter boxes sold in the meantime.)

And apparently the Seraphon are getting a battletome! The fluff should be interesting.
Thinking it's pretty much going to be the same as a FB faction's Armybook: Fluff + all rules for the faction (including some new scenarios - some faction-specific) and you're free to go.

A new battletome, eh? Do the lizardmen have any of the weird "bestest beard" rules that people hate about the old armies warscrolls? I mean, is the battletome just going to be a reprint of the old warscrolls, or can we expect them to be updated in some way? I guess there's no way to know yet...
A 144 page full colour hardback book that tells the tale of the Lizardmen from the world that was and how they have become the deadly celestial creatures who now serve the Slann and the sworn enemies and bane of Chaos – the Seraphon. The book contains 3 unique battleplans and new celestial magic spells.
Coming in at £30.
They are also talking about a Seraphim Thunderbeast Host, no clue on contents, but will be £125.

All in all, seems in line with Armybook/Codex philosophy.
