Interest piqued, and whoa it is Warhammer Quest indeed. I don't think this will turn out to be a WHQ 'starter set' with stats for every model in the AoS range. These are the first footsteps into the fantasy dungeon crawler genre after a long while for GW. If it sells well there could be more similiar products.

From what has been rumored from the reliable sources, this is a specific scenario, exploring the changing rooms of a Tzeentch Silver tower with enemies you would encounter in such an enviroment.

Better give it time, and do not expect everything immediately. I see this as an expansion/scenario pack continuing the WHQ range after a (very) long pause of production. Specific scenarios (focussing on ogres, undead, greenskins) getting fleshed out in detail is what the original games HQ, Advanced HQ and WHQ did. I like it as it allows for a lot more detailed miniatures, tiles and quests than another generic crawler would. Even if GW will not release rules for every model in the range, it will not take long for players to do this colllectively online. But producing quality Tzeentch miniatures and tiles is not something people can do on their own that easily.

One thing I like about the ST tiles is that they are quite generic so they can be used as rooms in 40k/Space Hulk/ASC as well.

Corect me if I'm wrong but wasnt Mordheim set in the past of 6th Edition Warhammer? I guess there is a good chance Mordheim stays in the Old World.

Well, GW could transfer its rules and gameplay concepts into the AoS but they didnt do that with Space Hulk (which events happened a long time ago, and the Librarian is a young Callistarius/Mephiston), Deathwatch (historic event as well, far in the past, even before the first Tyranid fleets turned up. Young Cassius) and now Blood Bowl keeping its original background.

I dont own the Mordheim rulebook but from the WD articles back then I always imagined the game is set a long time before WFB and had its own background.

Haechi, what does 'flying above it' mean? There is a crawling beetle model and Alarielle floats/hovers on top of it, both connected? Or is there only a small beetle for decoration? Or no beetle at all?

I haven't seen it with my own eyes but my friend who did said it was hovering above it. Alarielle herself is more or less human sized so the beetle must be pretty big to have the overall model be similar to Nagash in size. He didn't specify how high above the beetle she is though.

Thanks for clarifying, Haechi, am looking forward to the model

I was browsing through the upcoming Warhammer Visions' photo gallery

and in the 3rd image, that blue creature on a rock, is it a new miniature?

My tablet does not allow direct linking to it

Regarding the wishfull thinking about a return of Bretonnians, they are not coming back side by side with a future Total War expansion

Nope, not related. TW:W has 2 further planned releases which will see all of the old world races become playable. GW are not bringing back brets, as Taylor Swift would say "like, EVER"

Games Workshop has switched to a kind of monthly release cycle again. The first week, which is also accompanied by the back-to-monthly White Dwarf, brings a big release - like Sylvaneth last week - and the following three or four weeks Start Collecting sets, new paints, Battletomes for armies that get only repacked miniatures or board games like Gorechosen.

This is actually happening for the third month in a row now - starting with Orruks - and means they put all the main release's products into week 1 instead of spreading them among three or four weeks like they did in the last two years.

It is unknow at the moment if products of week 2 and beyond will be teasered and shown in that month's WD - previous to their preorder date.

In general there will be one big release at the beginning of the month and several of all kinds (which doesnt have to be minor ones - could be a new scenery range) later on.

Rumors from Atia were there will be a release of snapfit-model boxes in addition to this Mini-Starter set. If you are interested in specific miniatures wait until pics of these sets arrive. Afaik they are next week but I could remember that wrong and they go into preorder this weekend as well.

It is interesting that these boxes have the 'easy to build'-logo and the Collect-Paint-etc slogan like the Battle for Vedros sets. So, Age of Sigmar now has a similiar intro product range. They could be available in model and toy stores as well.

Several of these like Chaos Dragon and 'Golems' were originally posted by Hastings and circulating on Warseer for a long time. There was also something like this shown in a WFB8 artwork. I have not watched Boar Boyz rumors closely but the others were posted earlier. Birds in the Trees was throwing a lot of stuff around. If you go by this, the BOLS 'industry insiders' will get things right after a while, too...

I'm not saying it may not happen, just that there were rumors for a while about large Dwarf machines/walkers/creatures

I know the rumour is unlikely especially given the source, but I shared it as the other two parts of that post came true. If those were guesses I want that person buying my lottery tickets. Archaon is seperpentine, it does have massive wings, it does have multiple heads.

The boar riders are heavily armoured and the riders are leaning forward in their saddles. Also new boar riders was a strange thing to predict giving the existing, very good boar rider sculpts.
It all reads like someone really did get a peak into the design studio. That combined with the rumours of steam punk duardin suggests the golem could finally become reality.

Of course if they saw a cad image on a computer, there is no guarantee it would eventually become a model. I imagine they throw out concepts all the time.

You are right, it is a list of valid rumors. Fingers crossed for Duardin models

I have yet to see a reliable source mentioning a Steamhead Duardin release. There has been nothing in the last 6 months and not much before. A lot of chinese whisper-like 'rumors' from Natfka though, starting as Squats for 40k, then for AoS, then nothing happened. I consider the Steamhead rumors wrong if no one more reliable chimes in with real info...
