Nice to see the DG getting characters..

hopefully they get a HQ at some point reasonably soon..

also nice to see the start of the Dark Imperium stuff, I wonder if the frames of DI were laid out with exactly this sort of thing as a possibility - they seem a bit more stand alone than previous starters - could be poor memory though, but didn't you used to get more cases of one model with bits on several frames?

Looking on the GW store, its a whole sprue from Dark imperium.

Not impossible but it would depend on how long ago the Conquest part work began development.

The again, if it was designed alongside Dark Imperium and intended for release once GW had had maximum sales from 8th Ed.

For those interested, the latest issues (from the sub, not in stores yet) have 8thEd datasheet for units, not just the simplified descriptions from the early issues. I'll post an example later.

Magazine is also showing non-ETB Nurgle units.

Wonder if that means they’ll be included during the run? Hard to tell from a original group photo.

It could be the idea that, after 14 issues, completely brand new to 40k subscribers may have started venturing into GW stores/ FLGS by now.

There’s going to be an issue with at least one sprue from DI on the Death Guard side. The sprues with the pox walkers have the back end of the plasma gunner and his clone with a different helmet.

nice to see they are finally putting up data sheets, the number of models was starting to make the "wound on a 3+, except this, this this and this" stuff a bit long winded

All the DI models are coming in the subscription.
Presumably one sprue per issue, like the one we’ve seen is coming on the next delivery..

It’s just showing them in the context of Here is some variant chapters to paint, as opposed to a look at the models themselves.
So I’d warrant it’s not a tease.

They definitely are the DI ones only in the picture of what we get.
But as mentioned perhaps it’s a “here’s things you could buy” tease to get people into stores (GW would want that).
Also I guess GW provide the photograph, so may be choosing purposefully what goes picture does have the multi part terminators, which are really good models, so I think they’d get people in stores
We do get Felthius and co, but they are only good once over really.. those multi part are much better

What I did want to add but forgot before doing,
Is there’s a Slim, Slim chance, that perhaps the Premium drops could have something like multi part kits in them.

(I mean it can’t just be what’s in the first picture all four times right?)
I’m not premium, so it matter not to me, but I’d think they should get something more than that.

As mentioned yesterday, an example of the data sheets being included in Conquest from issue 13 onwards.

I assume they'll be updated as more figures become available.

And they have been sensible in limiting the data sheets to what has been available with the magazine in terms of equipment and unit sizes. For example 3 men units of Reivers, Intercessors and Plague Marines and the PM only having blight launchers and plasma guns listed as equipment so no meltaguns, plague sprayers, bubotic axes or whatever. The Aggressors only have flamestorm gauntlets listed as that is what the ETB miniatures are.

I must also say that the latest issues, as in 13 and 14, have some great extra world building background in terms of things like warp travel and STC technology for those new to the lore. Great that they are not just limiting it to "Marines Vs Chaos raaarrrrgh".

I wasn’t disputing that all of DI is in there, just that if they send it sprue by sprue then there’s going to be weeks where you get incomplete models.

Ah ok. Reading again you mean an issue (a problem)
So I read that as “there is going to be an issue (of the magazine) at least with one sprue from DI...” I did wonder

Is there though after that one sprue? I thought though units were split, aside from that little bit of one marine on the Pox, everything was on one sprue for each model individually?
Been a while since I built them..

Either would mean they could come later (you’d get the other sprue first for instance and it’ll say, keep these for next issue),
Two large sprues in an issue (seems unlikely; value wise)
Recut sprues (also less likely cost wise).

Ah I see what happened!

Yeah I think that’s the only bit that’s not on a sprue with the rest of the model. I’m not sure how they’ll do it, because that part is doubled up as well, so whatever happens may have to happen twice. I suppose at some point they’ll have to start saying ‘Keep these bits safe’ otherwise we’ll have to get a repulsor in one issue, and I can’t see that happening! It makes sense though, that’s how part works have always been.

It has to be split or that issue would sell out within hours!
I’m guessing three issue (as 3 sprues I think).

So even then it’s £24 for it, which is cheap.

For subscribers they’ll even the cost back (with a few 2 paint issues or a brush alone etc) but this magazine is unusual for them as I doubt they normally have consumers watching for individual issues and such like they will here..

Also thinking about it,
We’ve had our first of three brushes coming (ignoring the Starter one).
Then in three deliveries time, the subscriber set of three brushes too.

My subscription came with a piece of cardboard that I guess should've had some glue attached to it, but no actual glue. Not that I'm like, desperate for glue, but it was a bit of an annoyance.

You should have already received the glue in the last delivery. They didn't send the packaging which is a legal requirement due to the health and safety instructions so it was sent this month instead (you should also have received a letter explaining this)

I too am expecting it to be split across three issues, ideally consecutive,

As a subscriber, I’m sorted however. But as a Looter (see my sig) it could be a pain to get right, as I need to get the same number of each issue. Otherwise, each individual sprue is pretty much worthless.

And I’m fairly sure the Nurgle side gets a Rhino. Given their ubiquity, I’m expecting that run to be particularly popular.

"I wish they'd included the packaging in my first delivery. I put some in my eye and drank the rest of the glue. How was I to know it was for sticking models together?"

I didn't actually do this but it wouldn't surprise me if someone tried litigation along these lines. Where there's an idiot unwilling to take responsibility for their own actions, there's a (spurious) claim.

My delivery had a letter enclosed explaining why there was glue packaging inside. Apparently it should have been included with the first delivery along with the glue.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

About time we got to Dark Imperium. Looks like this will be the contents for issues 15-22.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Well issue 16 anyway, 15 is the Biologus Putrifier. I would not be certain, although it is certainly a possibility, that they will be releasing the Dark Imperium stuff in a straight run of issues as they have been pretty good at mixing things up. Given the contents of issue 16 we can assume that they are not recutting the DI sprues so that does give them 8 issues to get the sprues out. In terms of data sheets for the 1 Inceptor we get I can see them listing the unit as a 1-3 unit so they do not have to provide the others straight away. They have already done this with the likes of the Intercessors who are a non codex 3 men plus unit in the Conquest magazine data sheets.
