I guess WWII has finally gone GW.
Neat flamethrower dudes, though.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.
I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil |

I dig those. The bayonets on the riflemen are stupidly huge, but that's nothing a hobby knife can't fix. I'd like to see the SMG guys too!

Cant go wrong with WWI helmets and gasmasks.

With the galaxy as large as it is the odds of the average guardsmen seeing and fighting a marine or MEQ are relatively slim. Unfortunately the guardsmen in your (and anyone else who plays IG's) army are the REALLY, REALLY LUCKY ones that fight marines ALL the time... |

Thats no flame thrower! I am sure it is a melta gun, 3 of them in fact. Thats my story and I am sticking to it! Just ordered 10 of them for Hardened Vets.

They're ok, and will do if you don't want to pay for the FW ones. I've got a couple sets of the Death Korps and the details on those are amazing, so I'm talking with a bias.

Those bayonets might look large to the modern eye, but remember back in WWI the US had 18" bayonets on their Springfields. This range of alt Krauts doesn't work as a 40k stand in for me, but it would be a cool badguy force against a 28mm Captain America or Nick Fury and his Howling Commandos.

That's all well and good about WWI bayonets being large, but these are pulp-WWII minis, not WWI.

Believe me, we soiled our knickers when the Hun unleashed that tazelwurm in our trenches at Cambrai. Bloody thing killed fifty men before priest-leftenant Crowley banished it with the help of his "friend". The damnable thing screamed like a Danish milk-maid on her wedding night, let me tell you. The thought of it still chills my bones.
