I'm looking through the WH and DH codices, trying to figure out possibly ally combinations.

WH Army:
A Witchunter army may include either inducted IG (vanilla, non-doctrine) or inducted SM, but not both (WH codex).
Daemonhunters may ally with "Sisters of Battle" (DH codex)

IG Army
Witchhunters can be included as allies in an IG army or one of its variants, eg Catachans (WH codex)
Daemonhunters can be included as allies in in an IG army or one of its variants, eg Catachans (DH codex)
Witchhunters cannot ally with a force that uses any other type of ally with the exception of...units from other Ordos of the Inquisition (WH codex)

DH army
Either inducted IG or inducted SM can be used in a DH army, but not both (DH codex)
Witchunter units can be included as allies in DH armies.

So, I could presumably field:
a) a WH army with DH allies and inducted vanilla IG
b) a DH army with WH allies and inducted vanilla IG
c) an IG or IG variant doctrine army with both DH allies and WH allies.

d) a WH army with DH allies and inducted vanilla SM
e) a DH army with WH allies and inducted vanilla SM
f) an SM or SM variant chapter army with both DH allies and WH allies.

Is this correct?  I'm assuming that the 'daemonhunters may ally with "sisters of battle"'  actually means "with Witchhunters".   Maybe the DH codex came out when there was only a Sisters codex, which was updated later as the WH codex?

Just to be clear, the DH FAQ states that Daemonhunters may not ally with any army that has other allies.

It is likely this FAQ answer is outdated and shouldn't be in effect (I would never enforce it on anyone) but it does exist and some players or tournaments may hold you to it.

Hmm, I guess the FAQ trumps the codex.

So B and E (with DH as the parent list) are the only legal options for a triple combo. That's not too bad, I guess.

I don't see how anyone could claim that in this case. The DH FAQ has the passage that yakface is referring to under the heading "Errata Clarified in the 2nd Printing of Codex: Daemonhunters". Why would that take precedence over the actual second printing, which is worded exactly as it is in Codex: Witch Hunters?

'It is a source of constant consternation that my opponents
cannot correlate their innate inferiority with their inevitable
defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'

Oh, I don't know what printing my DH codex is. I figured it was 1st printing due to the wording in the FAQ.

If that's the case, that's even better.

I'll take "a" for 1850 points, Alex!

Hmmm....
Kyoto-pattern DH Inquisitor of first turn and shooty goodness
Flying Canoness invulnerable tarpit
Daemonhosts, Arcoflagellants and an Assassin for fun
Seraphim and Inducted Roughriders for pain
HF/Melta Sisters in Rhinos for required troops
Inducted IG Las/Plas platoons or Armoured Fists
Inducted LRBT, an Exorcist and three PenEngines

Whee! I should be able to fit that into 1850, and the girls should have 6 Faith to play with.

Edit:  5 faith, one unit of Sisters, one of Zealots (for the required priest)
and probably more like 2500 points...

Oh, I don't know what printing my DH codex is.

Look inside the front cover on the title page.
