For the last month or two my images from pbase will show up for a while and then turn into red xs. I have hotlinking enabled. Anyone else having trouble? test image

haha great image, it's working now i think it comes and goes. most likely heavy traffic via myspace/slideshows. I host everything from social to geek life on photobucket and it works most of the time, every now and then i get red x's but not enough to call it a problem.

ImageShack, FileAnchor, and PaintedOver (amongst several others) don't have bandwidth limitations and are able to withstand the bandwidth ravaging high traffic sites can dish out, something neither pBase doesn't seem to be able to handle nor does photobucket (though to a lesser extent). Enjoy!

Pbase doesn't mention any bandwith charges or limits, which is what makes this really annoying. Thanks for the advise.

PhotoBucket actually has a pretty nice monthly allowance (I want to say 1gb storage/10gb bandwidth per month), all for free. But if whatever image you post turns out to be hot bananas and everybody and their mother hotlinks it, 10gb ain't much at all (and if you use it all up, that's all you get for the month unless you pay for the unlimited upgrade). I'm not sure what the pBase's limits are, but I'm sure they have them.

It's from an old (1993ish) April Fools issue of Dragon Magazine, I had that issue back in the day. Someone else posted it in the Black Gobbo thread and I nicked it.
It was a (joke) article for Space Hulk about how Marines board enemy ships and show their utter contempt for the enemy by dancing.
