Here's the page at DD's own site: http://store.valueweb.com/servlet/darksondesigns/Categories?category=AE-WWII+Miniatures

I've been following their development of ideas since last spring at least. Neat stuff, though the female mechanic really doesn't do the artwork justice, imho.

Up your nose with a rubber hose.

Those are beauts! I love the second NCO, but I agree with you on the mech. She might look way better painted though.

Damn, the American Walker "Buffalo's" clear and direct ripoff of Kow Yokohama's Maschinen Krieger P.K.A. ausf Dora makes me a sad, sad panda, especially since all of Darkson's other figures are so awesome.

In general: sweet! Looking at the sculpts: could use some work, IMO.

I remember being real excited when DD began development, and I still think they've got great ideas and art going. The sculpts all pretty much fall short for me, with perhaps the NCO being the best of the lot. Kinda too bad, but it's early yet and I refuse to write DD off so easily! Thanks for the update syr.

Yeah, I noticed that too. There's a lot of potential in this range, but so much of it is either a ripoff (Dora) or disproportionate in a bad way, somehow. Won't stop me from picking some of this up anyway, but still...

Well color me unimpressed. Like salvage, I was really excited about their concept art, especially the american soldier from the Darkson Designs painting guide. The concept art and the official paintjobs are great, but the models themselves aren't up to snuff

In your house, rummaging through your underwear drawer

The greatcoatted nazis, the mad doktor and the lady mechanic with the one huge can are pretty good. The arms on the Dora mech are pretty weedy, but I'm sure you could replace them with a bendy straw or something.

Not to be too PC, but can anybody really ever say "Nazi's Yay"?

I heart SYR 8766

For all your bravado, if the US Army decided to invade, Wisconsin is it?, in force supported by a heavy bombing campaign for the month before, weeks of shelling from battleships on Lake Superior, and a full tank thrust (crushing the cows beneath the treads), I don't think that your .22 is going to make much of a difference really... At some point these sorts of decision-making skills lump you into the same camp as the Lehman Brothers, the White Star Line shipping company, and mothers who smoke during pregnancy.

Watch that apostrophe! You're going to attract the grammer nazis!

Alternate version:

I don't know how you like your Nazis, but I like mine 'hold the apostrophe'!

I believe Shattered Soul was being facetious.

Over all I have Been jonesing for a kickin WWII sci-fi game but want something along the lines of Castle Wolfenstien (wonder how much the rights to do a TT game would be?)
AE-WWII is a step towards what I am looking for but overall its imagery is not its own. The taped nipple gal is straight from DUST. I know there is no such thing as a unique ideal but they could at least tryto make it thier own.
If only battlefront would add a range of 15mm WWII mechs, I could die happy.
