Thanks for your comments. This range is designed for the gamer on a budget who wants to add a lot of terrain to their gaming tables. We have purposely chosen to keep the pieces simple, as we feel this allows the best value for money for our customers and flexibility in use between game systems. Keeping the range simple allows us to keep our production costs low and pass that saving on to you, and your fellow wargamers, at affordable prices without compromising on the quality. If we were to create highly details and complex designs, the cost of each item in the range would be greater.

Regarding the concern that the designs are similar to others, all of the items in the Complex Red range were developed from designs by Red Beam developed quite some time ago. It's likely that these items show superficial similarities as they share the same source of inspiration - science fiction skirmish games from the past few decades.

GALVANIC MYSTERIES POSSE
One could be forgiven for taking Countess Augusta Byron’s perpetual air of melancholy as a symptom of her upbringing. After all, when one is raised around some of the most emotive and creative minds of their time, it is surely impossible not to absorb some of that need to create. All artists crave the perfect result, whether it be a musical composition that can reduce men to tears, or a painting so beautiful that not a single soul can step past without pausing to enjoy its beauty. The Augusta’s canvas is infinitely more complex. Her magnum opus is herself. If she shows an interest in a particular individual’s face or admires the length of their legs, that person is likely to witness firsthand her inconceivable feats of fleshcrafting. The Countess has improved upon her own person over the years until nobody – herself included – can even recall how she once looked. Presently, Augusta towers above the average woman, at seven feet in height, and although it could be argued that her entire body is nothing more than a patchwork, a mish-mash of disparate parts, it cannot be denied that the whole is striking and certainly memorable.
The New York Tribune recently published an article cautioning the use of advanced technology as it may “corrupt the moral fibre of our society.” Should the experiments conducted by Countess Augusta Byron be made common knowledge there would surely be an outcry amongst those of a sensitive and civilised disposition. Even amongst her fellow Enlightened Peers, the Countess is looked upon with a peculiar blend of awe and fear. A pioneer in galvanism, the Countess often applies that peculiar science into forming reanimated Creations - a blend of flesh, steel and lightning that creates a creature many times greater than the sum of its parts. The Countess has been know to cosset her ‘children’, always seeking new and better methods for improving them and granting them longevity. With such a fearless army at her command and with the capacity to make as many as needed, she is a force to be reckoned with.

RANGER SHOWBOAT POSSE
Some men earn their legends. Others contribute to the legends of others. Some, like the Marshal known as ‘Wild’ Bill Hickok simply make their own legends up and recount them for anybody who will spare the time to listen. Hickok is a charmer; a storyteller extraordinaire and a man well versed in what the renowned showman P T Barnum would call ‘the noble art of humbug’. He knows well the magic a good yarn can bring to others, having spent some considerable time with a travelling show in his younger years. His marksmanship skills were as sharp then as they are now and many a contented visitor would leave the show that night swearing that they truly had seen the greatest gunman on Earth.
For all his dramatic tendencies and his overblown, often hugely exaggerated tales, Hickok is a canny, shrewd soul. Like so many of his ilk, he fell into the role of Lawman without intending to. When he first came out west, he did so with the intention of setting up a travelling show of his own, perhaps bringing entertainment to what he perceived as the poverty-stricken settlers of the frontier. Instead of the struggling little shanty towns he envisioned, he found flourishing settlements, rich with prospects, loaded with opportunity and marred by those who operated outside the law. Along with his friend and fellow former showman, Bill Cody, he excelled in the field of scouting and reconnaissance. As a young ranger, he discovered a love for this unexpected new career and when Cody headed back east, Hickok remained, eager to keep his skills as one of the newly-named Rangers sharp and focused. He grew strong and powerful, mastering the use of a rifle as well as his pistols.
As the years passed, Hickok took others under his wing, training them in the arts of wilderness living and tracking. One young woman in particular – Grace Myrtle – has grown to be every bit his equal in skill and is in possession of a personality as big as his own. They have become confidantes, even good friends and he values her opinion more than he’d ever openly admitted.
The stories of his own greatness that he told in his youth have long been forgotten, replaced with stories that are every bit as true as he tells them… mostly, anyway. Alongside Myrtle, Hickok continues to thrill his allies and enemies in equal measure bringing justice to those that need it most. Often Bill will find his paths cross with the mercenary Copelie Sisters, the dutiful Nate Berenger and the drunken but dependable Calamity Jane and together they form Bill’s legendary Ranger Showboat. Even with a job to do, Hickok is still fond of exaggerating and as long as he has a glass of whisky, a comfortable seat and a willing audience, he will still wheel out the showman of old and entertain a crowd with the wild tales of Wild Bill.

Wayland the Smith - 10th Anniversary Set
Many a fireside tale includes the appearance of Wayland the Smith. Often such stories feature a desperate and lonely rider who suffers a malfunction with her Iron Horse or the machinery of a struggling mine fails and the town faces ruin. Wanting no reward, save for a silver dollar if it can be spared, this man of legend appears from the horizon and fixes the problem. Before more than a thank you can be uttered, the stoic giant is on his way again, never staying in the same place for more than a night once his work is done. Wayland is an impressively large man with a strength as formidable as the steel with which he plies his trade. Often he lends a hand along with Panday Beck, his erstwhile assistant, who is seldom far from his side. What the fates have in store for Wayland as he roams the Frontier, who can say? Certainly, while Wayland doesn’t go looking for trouble, his journey has taken him to some of the highest and lowest of company. Even the alien Watchers and scheming Hex and Order have had reason to be thankful for his intervention and assistance. Quite how this mysterious wanderer can aid such wildly differing factions is but one further mystery that adds to his legend.

Of all the outlaws operating on the Union Frontier, the story of Juan Ponce de Leon and his Conquistadores is by far the most incredible. Ponce de Leon is a nobleman with a delusional mind. Emerging from the Mexican hinterland with her posse of armoured Conquistadors, Madre Monica Perez is a woman of deep faith. Like Ponce de Leon, she claims to who have set out in search of the Fountain of Youth nearly three hundred years earlier. Whether one believes these claims or not, the Faithful of Castilla are fanatically loyal to her and make for a lethal retinue. While many see the Blackhoof as an obsolete mode of transport, the Faithful have proven adept in the saddle of these temperamental automa. Together with their mechanical steeds, the Faithful of Castilla are the self-appointed defenders of the oppressed. Such a defence often brings Madre Perez and her posse to the thickest of the fighting in the Badlands.

If a man is defined by his actions, then Custer is the epitome of all that young men and women strive to become. Fearless. Generous of nature. Brilliant. Dashing. Impetuous. Dangerous. Possibly even just a little unhinged. The realisation of this fact comes too late, usually at the moment the enemy’s gun barrel is pointed squarely at them.
Armstrong Custer was born into a world that needed a man of his calibre, a chance or quirk of Fate that made sure he was there when the Union needed him most. And yet, despite what some consider the exterior of a braggadocio, he remains staunchly humble and refuses to accept praise, instead deferring to those men and women serving under his command. He rose through the Union ranks swiftly, demonstrating an ability to follow and lead with equal enthusiasm. His inherently likeable nature coupled with one of the most brilliant strategic minds ever seen ensured that he accelerated through to the rank of General as fast as he could stitch his stripes onto his uniform. He is a force of nature: an inspirational and highly motivational speaker who can inject morale into the weariest unit.
Something of a traditionalist, Custer leads the charge – and he will always lead the charge - primarily armed with his well-honed and always razor-sharp sabre. But he is not adverse to unloading both of his blaster pistols when a challenge presents itself. And Armstrong Custer never refuses a challenge!

The Confederate Rebellion, such as it is, lacks many of the resources even settlers in the Frontier take for granted. Driven into the bayous and wilderness by the Union’s occupation of the Southern states, the Rebellion must avoid all but the smallest of hamlets; lacking the funds to take advantage of even the most sympathetic of suppliers. As such, heavy vehicles are few and far between to aid their cause. For mobility's sake, those few rebels that do need a mount make do with the temperamental and almost obsolete Blackhoof. Over the years rider and mount have formed a bond as strong as between any partners in strife. These mechanical horse automata have proven to be well suited to the dense terrain the rebels operate in and are far quieter than any Iron Horse or Interceptor.

The Wendigo are the lore keepers of a world long since past. They are part of an exotic and ancient breed of creatures known collectively as the Carcosa. Their mythology speaks of the Carcosa being the true inheritors of the Earth, the first people created by the Great Spirit in ages past. But, so the story goes, the Great Spirit was ashamed by the Carcosa's bestial nature and abandoned them in favour of creating a more perfect inheritor, the mewling and myriad humanity. Competing for resources in those early days, the human usurpers hunted the Carcosa almost to extinction. Now their kind has been reduced to a mere handful scattered across the world and so the Wendigo and their Carcosa kin have allied themselves to the Hex. The Wendigo now use their tales of betrayal and abandonment to fuel the telling of a final story for the Carcosa - a tale of revenge and retribution on humanity.

Unique in the Frontier, 20-20 is a relic of the closing days of the Ore War, a Blackhoof automata transformed into a one of a kind prototype. As a new weapon for a battle that never came, 20-20 has many of the capabilities of a trained sniper as well as the ability to morph into two different modes. The first is as a Vitruvian Simulacra - a humanoid machine armed with a deadly Hyper-V rifle. The second form is his original configuration as a Blackhoof steed. While in that form, 20-20 will accept only one rider, his good friend Jedrick Powell, who takes up the rifle and together they bring sweet justice upon all lawbreakers.

Legendary Wyatt Earp
Wyatt Earp, High Marshal of the Arizona Territories, is an imposing man. Well over six feet in height, with what could best be called an 'intimidating' presence, he is taciturn and hard to extract information from. When he gives up his words, he is startlingly eloquent and his belief in dispensing justice is without question.
Wyatt Earp has made it his duty to serve and protect the people of the Union of Federated States from threats that might intrude upon their daily lives. Laudable though this goal may be, it has nonetheless earned Earp few friends and countless more enemies. His immediate family has suffered numerous personal tragedies at the hands of the lawless. Only his closest friends are able to permeate the iron-clad demeanour he maintains and there are but few who can offer support and succour to the undoubtedly lonely man that must lie within the legend.
Wyatt Earp continues to heft his trusty shotgun whilst striding out to the clink of spurs, ready to dispense justice. He is rightly feared by those he faces in the city of Tombstone, or further afield because he brings hell with him.

It was not until the last winter before the Union drove out the Crown from the Americas that the true scope of his bond with the spirits was revealed. His braves had been slaughtered in an ambush by Continental Marines. Wounded, barely able to raise his weapon, Raven Spirit - by now a Warrior Nation chief - raised his head to the sky and let out the keening cry that was the raven's own. When the spirit of an ancient warrior, many centuries dead, coalesced in shimmering blue spirit fire around the young chief - this was startling enough. When that Summoning also unleashed a plume of all-consuming spiritual fire that obliterated the terrified attackers, Raven Spirit fell into a deep trance.

Legendary Abe Lincoln
It became painfully clear to President Lincoln that he was best suited to shepherd his beloved nation back to peace -, but he could not do this from within the White House.
Using his ever-expanding web of agents to assist him, Lincoln staged his own assassination in 1866. He was then free to assume more direct control of the varied defences of the nation while his vice-president, Andrew Johnson, a capable bureaucrat with little to no imagination or drive, was left as a figurehead to rule in his place.
Abraham Lincoln was finally free to move out into the wide world in order to lead his extensive army of gifted killers through the shadows, conducting the infinite number of dark and dreadful deeds the times demanded of the nation should she expect to survive. Lincoln knew that there were things the Union Army could not be called upon to do, whether it was investigating dangers to the wounded country, to ferret out plots and schemes that threatened her, or eliminate potential problems before the public could even be aware of them. His Secret Service was essential to the health of the Union.

UR-31 G.I. Bots
The G.I. Bot is a military grade version of the UR-31 and shares many features with the Heavy Lawbots of the same mark. Developed by the Union as an iterative improvement on the Enlightened designed UR-30's, the G.I. Bot is built for open combat deployment. Its updated design has led to the inclusion of better armour and a more advanced combat logic engine with many complicated parts and, subsequently, a lower battery life. These changes have necessitated shorter tours of duty yet still ensures that a fully automatic army will elude the Union for years to come. Despite this, the UR-31 G.I. Bot serves in a support capacity with most Armoured Guard regiments. It is a common enough piece of hardware that two dedicated assault platoons have been readied for overseas deployment staffed entirely by these tireless and relentless metal soldiers.

LEGENDARY ELITA NURA
Within the Council she is considered a fractious zealot, a vocal challenger to the conservative doctrine espoused by High Sircan Abner. Unlike Abner, Nura believes that the last battle against the Hex fast approaches so she pushes for Phase Five of the Crusade to be enacted. As such, Nura's voice is the most extreme within the Order as she seeks to provoke a suitably devastating encounter with the Hex that would justify the declaration of Phase Five and all-out war.
When in the field acting as the Allshard's instrument she is equally impatient to bring about the unveiling of the Order's true mission. This reveals itself as a disdain for the use of subterfuge and stealth, instead portal jumping into combat directly and taking her foe unawares with the precise application of overwhelming force against those tainted by the Hex. Whether such taint comes from absorption of its essence or simply through being manipulated by the Dark Council, she cares not. The seismic powers of her Luminant Staff are more than capable of eliminating either type of foe. Let the Allshard sort them out.

ZAIN & ORON
Even among the elite ranks of the Cor Caroli come individuals rise to the top. Zain and Oron are peerless masters in their own fields and have proven themselves on countless battlefields upon countless worlds, ever in pursuit of those tainted by the Hex and unforgiving of any that stand in their way.
Some weapons are too heavy even for the Cor Caroli to wield and Oron is one of the few capable of wielding the Master Shrike Rifle with deadly effect. He holds the rank of Altcap and leads from the front, laying down a withering hail of fire against enemies of the Allshard.
The Luminent Kopesh is less of a weapon and more an instrument of slaughter in the hands of Altcap Zain. Once he has closed with the enemy, few can stand against his prowess in close combat as strike after strike lands against his enemies defences.

LEGENDARY RAGING BEAR
A solitary soul, Raging Bear stands apart from the other Spirit Walkers. While others return to their human form once the bloody day is done, Raging Bear does not. Some unspeakable shame in his past makes returning to his life as a man unthinkable. Even the all-knowing Raven Spirit will not address the reasons for this isolation directly, only that the burden of his deeds as a beast cannot be borne in the soul of a man. And so it is that, when needed, Raging Bear can be found far from the settlements of the Warrior Nation. The call of the Great Spirit draws him back to his people when needed the most. In battle, he leads other Spirit Walkers and bloodthirsty warriors by example; red in tooth and claw.

UR-30 LAWBOTS
The West is a dangerous place, the thin blue line of the Lawmen is stretched ever thinner by the fear of reprisals making many unwilling to step forward and take the tin star. In the years that followed the Ore War, there were hundreds of UR-30 Automen destined for alternative employment in power stations and other dangerous roles. It was Marshal Mariano Barela who first deployed UR-30’s as so-called ‘lawbots’. Successful in a limited fashion, they were given a tin star, a brace of pistols and sanctioned for deployment to the care of marshals and sheriffs all across the Union. These Vitruvian Simulacra might lack the emotion and instinct of the flesh and blood deputies, but they know the law and that alone makes them excellent (and impartial) representatives of justice. Of course, having a metal skull and spinal column is extremely handy in an occupation where being shot at or having chairs broken over your head is commonplace.

LOKESS
Once roused to anger Lokess is a force of nature and terrifying to behold. Of all the remaining Carcosa, injury and a thirst for vengeance has led Lokess to embrace the technology and gifts of the Hex. With implants and augmentations, she couples these with her sheer size to carry the devastating Ursun Repeater and wield it as if it were a simple six-shooter.
Lokess feels that she should be the right hand of Carcosa Rex. Unwilling to put aside her petty jealousies and rivalries with Makulus and Tok, she has forced Rex to choose Hanuma as his lieutenant instead. Lokess will force a rebalance of this injustice through the only means she knows how. Rex will die by her hand, but only when the time is right.

GREY WITH SPECIALIST WEAPONS
All species within the Watcher Hegemony have their role to play. The Watchers are all too aware of the pitfalls of over specialising. They have not endured for centuries by being inflexible in this manner and so have an entire species, the Grey, who specialise in… not specialising!
The Grey are bred as foot soldiers, labourers, architects, engineers, spies, diplomats and scientists - whatever the Watchers need them to be. When circumstance causes the Watchers a need to rely on the Grey for military operations, they are birthed from gestation vats aboard their Arkvault or base of operations with Vermillion or Onyx traits spliced into their genome. This additional genetic material allows them to utilise a wide variety of sophisticated and deadly weapons. These Grey are deployed in support of their more lightly armed kin and can coordinate with Grey Elites or even Viridian commanders to bring about victory for the Watchers.

We’re kicking off 2019 with a Q&A! On January 31st you’ll be able to tune in and listen to Stuart and co. talk about upcoming releases and our plans for the games within the Dystopian Age.
This Q&A event will be focusing on all things from Warcradle Studios; Wild West Exodus, Dystopian Wars, and Firestorm Armada, and will be shared on the Warcradle Studios Facebook page (as well as our YouTube channel).
Submit your burning questions NOW! We’ll be answering as many as we can during the video - all you have to do is leave it on our Facebook event wall.
We will try and answer as many questions as we can during the video. All questions need to be submitted BEFORE Tuesday 22nd January at 12 pm (midday) GMT.

HOUR OF THE WOLF POSSE
Though a powerful Spirit Walker, Ghost Wolf often remains in his mortal form as the Warrior Nation has a great need for his leadership and tactical mind. The wolf within him calls to his kin and often he is always accompanied by a number of his brother wolves. These hunting wolves have been blessed by the Great Spirit to be larger and stronger than their kin as well as possessing more intelligence. They are as fast as the wind and their powerful jaws are potent allies. When they attack in a pack there is little that can stand against them. The wolf spirit ensures he is often accompanied by those Spirit Walkers of the Weylyn who can embrace the animal spirit and aid their chieftain.
Ghost Wolf can always rely on the support of Hawkeye and Moonswift, two experienced warriors who are carving out their own legend within the Nation. Hawkeye is second to none with a bow, capable of hitting the eye of a running hare. With a kinship that approaches family, Moonswift is almost as fast as her Hunting Wolf brothers and sisters. Adept at channelling spirit energy, Moonswift is able to leap over her enemies and bury an axe in an exposed flank.

LEGENDARY IRONTOOTH
Irontooth is the youngest of the Warrior Nation's leaders and a man who has grown up within the new society forged by Raven Spirit rather than the old divided tribes that preceded it. From an early age, Irontooth showed great skill and power in the ways of the Great Spirit and he soon took his own path to become a Spirit Priest. This was short lived as only weeks into his training his people were butchered by an interloping Union patrol. Instinct took over and he embraced his Spirit Guide: the Mountain Lion. Irontooth ‘awoke’ to find he was a Spirit Walker and like the lion in his vision, he was soon stalking his enemies, his teeth sinking into flesh and talons ripping his foes open as they fled screaming into the night. While the transformation from man into Spirit Walker is usually achieved only through a long and intense ritual, this change had occurred spontaneously. This gift has even raised an eyebrow from Raven Spirit when he heard tell of it.

LEGENDARY GUSTAVE EIFFEL

LEGENDARY MARIE LAVEAU
To the world at large, Marie Laveau is Queen of the Bayou and Vodun priestess to all of New Orleans. Believed to be the latest in a long line of women whose lineage stretches back into the mists of time, even in an age of scepticism and science, her powers defy understanding or explanation. Chanting to dark spirits she dances lewdly while waving her fetish staff and seeds the ground with ingredients taken from the pouches hitched to her belt or strapped about her person on leather thongs. In this way is she able to manifest bolts of corrupt energy, control the beasts of the dark places or summon spectral creatures to do her bidding.

LEGENDARY VIRIDIAN ALPHA
The Viridian Alpha has ultimate responsibility and control over the martial forces of the Hegemony on Earth. This is a role for which he has been created, a process of genetic manipulation that has refined him into a formidable warrior and tactical genius. While he may not have the flexibility and creativity of humans (two of the attributes that have caused the Hegemony to notice Humans in the first place) his understanding of warfare is second to none and while the strikes and feints of the Watchers may seem random they are always part of a larger strategy.

This month brings with it an assortment of legendary miniatures and a brand-new posse! Hour of the Wolf is set to be the second Warrior Nation Posse Set for the Second Edition of Wild West Exodus - and includes everyone’s favourite chieftain; Ghost Wolf.
Today, we’re taking a closer look at the Hour of the Wolf.

How do they play? This Posse likes to get up close and personal. Not only are they good at getting there, all being rather swift of foot, but they can wreak havoc when they do get there. Leveraging Moonswift’s DANCES WITH WOLVES special rule on the Hunting Wolves means they will not only be able to activate via Teamwork but will allow them to Focus their Move and Charge Actions for free. Use all the cover you can and get in quick as, once you are there, these trained warriors will tear your enemies to pieces.
