I just finished the second book: Malleus. I know Im about 5 years late on this one. I am enjoying the series so far and got a kick out of the Quixos stuff in it. Pop open your Daemonhunter books and look for his name. I think I get too excited when it comes to fluff lines intersecting and seeing plot lines actually coming together. Also, there are few things cooler to seeing Astares and regular humans interacting and how much more bad arse the Astares are compared to thier "mortal" counter parts. Its on to Hereticus now, hopefully Ill finish it before the Thanksgiving break is over or it will be weeks before I have time for it.

Its a great series, you wont regret it.
The only thing I find annoying is how rushed the endings seem to be.

He's also very involved in Eisenhorn's wardrobe.

It is a great novel, although there are some jarring moments - as ever with Abnett - where events in the narrative flatly contradict elements that we consider "canon".
Mind you, the state of GW's IP is so f'ing chaotic that it's a miracle that anything is coherent anymore.

I count myself lucky since I consider myself still a bit green in reguards to the hobby. Im yet to catch many inconsistancies. Eisenhorn is very stylish. It is important to know this since he is a member of the inquisition and we need to know how his guicci cape and coach man-purse flow when he is vanquishing titans with daemon slingshots.

Dan is the best writer in the 40k universe.
Eisenhorn is great, esp the part about the Stormtroopers from Cadia. That is how stormtroopers in 40k should be

I just finished the book. Abnett rushed again! It was enjoyable though.

Well, more of it can be found out in the Ravenor Series, where there are references to many a character in the Eisenhorn Trilogy. I really enjoyed the 3rd book because we got to see a more personal side of Eisenhorn, and his want/need for companionship in something other than a work or work related relationship.
That and the big baddies in the 1st book are spectacular. I want to learn more about those accursed xenos scum who live in 5 dimensions!
