Subject: Epic figures compared to 40k?

I'm curious of the physical size difference. I've been toying around with a "pocket 40k" concept of using a small board with magnetized base and using epic figures with a small magnet mounted on the bottom. Can anyone give me a pic or two comparing some epic troops to 40k?

Hey,
Epic is 6mm, 40k is @30mm (0.25in vs 1.25in). See:

Damn. Has it really been nine years?

Hey,
I don't recall finished pics. Still, here's a reverse comparison:

The actual Epic scale Titan fig is the grey thing at the bottom.
It's been 'blown up' to 40k scale by some underemployed fanboy . . .
FWIW, I use a few old Titans as dual CCW Dreadnaughts in 40k.
They're slightly smaller, so I beefed up their bases to compensate.

Hey,
Space Hulk's simplicity and 2d maps make it a natural for 'pocket' 40k:

Be sure to use the first edition rules, and enjoy.

Very interesting. Always liked this idea myself - especially since Orks take so much space in order to transport. Definitely something very appealing about shrinking it all down to the 6mm scale and storing an entire WAAGGHH in one shoebox.

I sketched some rules for epic-scale 40k, it's actually really simple. The quick-and-dirty version is, just take the 40k rules and change all references to "inches" to "centimeters". Infantry gets mounted on 1 cm bases, etc.
