Anyone know where a good Warmachine/Hordes forum is?

The Privateer Press ones are really good. They shunt all the whining off to a separate
forum.

Actually I had to stop reading the PP forums because they were so incredibly sycophantic.

No, seriously- It's insanely sycophantic over there. So much so that I'd get frustrated and stop reading threads after 2 or 3 posts over there. I still check the painting and modeling subforum on occasion though.

Yeah the boot licking does get tiring.  Still, the fact that PP runs a very informative and navigatible forum was a selling point for me.  Shows they give a damn, unlike, well you know...

snoogums: "Just because something is not relavant doesn't mean it goes away completely."

Iorek: "Snoogums, you're right. Your arguments are irrelevant, and they sure as heck aren't going away."

The tactics forums are nice for information, though. The people are informed
and give sound tactical advice. I suspect the sycophantic nature is based on
the fact that they ship all whining posts off to the "Crow's Nest," thereby leaving
mostly positive posts throughout the forums.

But if someone were to write an intelligently critical post with specific examples,
I'm sure it would stay around.

"Tactics", "Modelling" and "Terrain" are all fine at the PP forums. Those are most occupied by vets who have no problem saying that a 'jack is over/underpowered, a Hordes 'lock is fiddly to put together, or come up with the most amazing terrain (Khador Train Depot? Orgoth Temple? Yes please!).

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Thanks everyone. I had cruised the PP tactics forums before I came here, and I guess it is the best, (and only) place to get some sound tactical advice. Thanks for everyone's help!

I got alot of nifty circle tactics from there that have bamboozled everyone at my local store so far.

Phew! Some body cover my reentry bak into dakka. And people say we are grumpy here. *rolleyes*

They do have some good things to say though and there is alot about that site that is pretty top notch.

Mixed emotions there. I like it, and am afraid of it at the same time, kind of like Malfred.
