First off, Hi.  New to posting in the forums, but been lurkin around for a while now. 

Can a chimera with traitors in it be added with a dirge caster, or are they limited to rhinos?

You can only use upgrades from the parent codex. So, Dirge casters can only go on Chaos Space marine vehicles. So, rhinos and defilers in an LatD army only.
