Syrath leaves the Space Wolves and hovers over the arena, his ghastly gaze searching for a target. He sees the Avatar and does not attack but merely laughs before pulling out a large device from his robes and begins to fiddle with the device before dropping it in the center of the arena, Daemons terrified run and hide as the device begins to beep slowly;

"I have already invaded Atiloc Bel'tyan, my armies have surrounded it and have begun its utter destruction. The Screams of the dead with be like a dark tune, you know they cannot stop us when we directly lead a Tyranid fleet into its path and enjoy the bomb. Coraks come, we have much to do."

Syrath and a recently awakened Coraks flee, leaving the broken Tyranids fleeing alongside Daemons and marines, Chaos Drop-Ships appear over the arena and begin to deploy black armoured Chaos marines and Predator tanks that quickly move towards the group.

"Oh, Kais, your role is not yet fulfilled... this blasted realm will not be your final resting place..." A mysterious voice whispered...

Arrius emerged amongst the battle torn arena, leading the First War Legion in the "clean up" operation, of killing the unwanted survivors

"Kill them all, leave no survivors! Syrath has decreed it!" the beast sneered.

Arkios moves towards Arrius and bows before rising;

"Lord Arrius, Syrath has instructed me to assist in Operation: Hotzone, while my troops take Cyrse. I have also been instructed to activate the bomb if we are...unable to deal with the problem."

The avatar simply picks up the device and looks it over, growling. It smolders in his hand as the avatar stands up and hurls the device in an extremely long arc towards the retreating Syrath. The avatar laughs loudly.

"You think you can cow me with threats to me or my people? I will show you strength and I will kill every one of your servants in order to get to you if I have to!"

With that, the avatar swings his spear around in a circle and it forms a mighty wall of fire that rolls over the advancing chaos marines and scorches most of them and their armor to a crisp and cinders. He spots the newly arrived Arrius and snarls at him , his mouth spewing sparks of anger. The avatar points at Arrius with his bloody, dripping hand and hefts his spear in the other. With a might and skillful throw, he sends the spear thundering towards Arrius. Its swift flight echoed by a powerful wail that sounds like the strike of lightning.

Lucian and Marius join the avatar, one on either side, Marius offers his autocannon to Mikal, the weapon could be used by an terminator sized warrior with ease.

The two Wolves and the Avatar prepare themselves for whatever comes next...

(Sorry for the short post my head isnt in it atm)

The 1st War-Legion marines open fire, Heavy Bolters and Auto-Cannons force the Drednought back while the Scourges fly into the air and open fire on the Chaos marine using Shardcarbines to push them into cover, Arrius laughs at the Avatar and fires a bolt of energy that knocks back the Avatar. Atlas flies into the air and fires a volley of Shardcarbine shots at the Chaos Lord Arkios who draws his Twin Bolter and exchanges fire with the winged Eldar.

IC:

Atlas dives down towards Arkios, and stabs him in neck for long enough to allow the venom to seep into his body. The poison would kill him in less than a minute, and as soon as he pulled the daggers out, he noticed Arkios beginning to groan in agony, as the venom washed into his bloodstream.

"That is my gift, Chaos scum!" Atlas shouts back at him, before increasing his speed, and flying straight towards Arrius, blades outstretched.

Arkios begins to fall and stutter as his mouth begins to produce green bubbling foam that burns through his helm and head, his chest melts into a green and red mess of gore and pus. Arkios tries to aim his Bolter but falls into a acidic pulp.

"Excellent, we should continue our fest of pain Atlas"

Talon rises into the air again and opens fire on the 1st War-Legionnaires with his Splinter Cannon.

Atlas swoops by Arrius, slicing him with his daggers as he goes, before turning back around, and slicing his leg with one blade, and shoulder with the other.

The avatar roars with fury as it regains its footing. He sees the dark eldar gnats buzzing about thetwo daemon lords and the space wolves fending of the chaos legions, that left him unmolested for the time, with an outstretched hand he willed his spear to return to him and return it did, right back into his left hand and as it did its flames and blazing light leapt back into life.

"Your souls will burn in my hands chaos filth!" He roared as he charged in, stepping on and destroying many of the chaso troops below him as he went. His sprint took him right at Arrius who was busy either parrying or dodging the dark eldar attacks and was not prepared for the avatar's assault. As a result, arrius put up a weak parry and was not able to move out of the way of the spear which deflected his weapon's parry and stuck into the daemon's breatplate with a roaring sizzle. the spear went out through Arrius back and allowed the avatar to move into range of his hands, he clamped his bloody right hand on Arrius' throat and began to squeeze.

"Go now to your twisted maker warp scum." the avatar growled as its eyes blazed with pure murderous intent.

Arrius diverts his attention back to Bel'tyan and pushes him away and slashes at him with his own blade, with arcane runes glowing he blocked one of the Avatars attacks and struck the burning demi-god in the side and slammed his fist hard into the Avatars fist before hitting him with the but of his sword;

"No I shall not, your flame will be extinguished!

"Which one would that be, Khaine!" the Daemon Prince sneered, before lopping the Avatar's arm off with his colossal Daemon Blade.

"Oh poor Bel'tyan I am still not sure what is more amusing? The fact that if your life is now at an inescapable end. Or the fact that it has been given in the service of a broken God!" Arrius bellowed with laughter.

However, to Arrius dismay an irritating little pest was buzzing around him, slashing at his Daemonically infused body.

The Daemon growled. Infuriated that the insignificant creature dared to strike at him.

OOC: Kais, what did you think of the mysterious whisper?

(point of note, marius is Fav 14, hb's and autocannons cant even hurt him... so....)

Marius sprints forwards his massive legs pistoning him into the enmey upon which he lays waste with all the fury of a warrior who has been imprisoned and forced to fight his brother, over and over and over

Lucian for his part begins to move around the peripheries of the battle demolishing the larger daemons trying to move through the press and get to the centre, his swordplay skills dominating any who even attempt to attack him and the monstrous lords of change find that there is an aura about Lucian that prevents their attacks and skills from working on him, the monstrous servants of Tzeentch flee from such a foe.

A Defiler grabs Marius by the legs and tackles him, it raises its claws above the Dreadnoughts view port preparing to strike but a lance of white energy pierces its torso and kills it;

"I have returned to aid you old friend"

A familiar voice returns to the mind of Marius, a ghostly one too....

The whisper?

Creepy, and yet intruguing...

IC:

Atlas sees his opportunity, and swoops down low, sweeping past Arrius, but stabbing him in the neck, releasing crippling poison, which is not fatal, but will severely damage Arrius' abilities, rendering nearly helpless for the battle.

He then makes a turn, and comes in for the killing blow, seeing Arrius fall to one knee, as the poison makes him as skillful as a young child.

Arrius swots the Scourge out of the way and roars in fury and slightly moves back and fires a bolt of energy that sends Atlas flying, he crashes onto the arena floor and quickly rises.


(OOC) What do you think of Catos returning?

Don't really care that much, as long as he doesn't be a dick...

... and by the way, the crippling poison I used on Arrius really should render him unable to fight for this battle, so I think he should run, as I'm not going to kill him outright as hes a character...

While Poison would have probably killed a mortal being Arrius is an ancient Daemon Prince, while weakened and retreating he's not dying.

I never said he should die, I just said he is weak for now, seeing as the poison has severely crippled him, so he should run...

... I'm not gonna godmod and kill a acharacter outright in a post...

... and Tyranic, would you want to join my Aliens RP, seeing as Warork and reaper are both already in it...?

Arrius rises, only to collapse once more, after being struck by the poison. He could discern the image of Bel'tyan in his peripheral. He would not last much longer.

Seeing that the "cleanup" is not going as well as planned, Arrius focuses his mind on the bomb's detonator.

An unholy grin was slowly produced on the Daemon Prince's visage

"This is the end fools! For Chaos! For Tzeentch! FOR SYRATH!!!" the Daemonic monstrosity exclaimed maniacally.

There was a brief lull in the Arena's activity. Before a mighty explosion erupted from one of the stands which surrounded Syrath's Arena.

Anger. Pain. Power. Pulsing through it's veins. A scream. Excruciating to say the least. Darkness. The Materium was not what Arrius had expected. Once more. He lay, bloodied and beaten amongst the snow. His daemonic blood polluted the purity of the white slush.

OOC: Kais, I believe this entire saga will come full circle in the next instalment. And your first character has been such a key one for so long...

Also, It'll be interesting to see how everyone escapes da bomb.

Syrath bent down and tapped the head of the unconscious Daemon Prince and smiles;

"Wake up sleepy head, that clusterf*#k of a battle back there just cost us a proportion of the 1st War-Legion. While I'm disappointed that Arkios did not survive the blast, or the Eldar I'm happy to say Coraks still lives along with you. Now let us be done with the foe and move onto Cyrse!"

OOC: One thing that I see wrong so far...:/

The Avatar (you no longer have to refer to him as Beltayn) is not dead...does anyone bother reading my posts? The avatar had since tossed the bomb device out of the arena...so yeah...no big boom in the arena...there's a nice sized crater in the side of the arena but nobody bothered with retrieving and replacing the bomb so its still outside the arena somewhere...

secondly, I have an idea for the avatar, reaper, it requires my characters to split up but I think it will work...PMing...

The power of the bomb had enougth power to level most of the arena even while in the air and if Arrius concentrated his powers on the bomb it may have taken out the entire arena.

OOC: It may have been thrown out of the arena, but even on the outskirts of the battlefield, the bomb would have still done a lot of damage.

I'll at least change it to the outskirts of the Arena them.

It will become clear in the next few RPG's, but I will give you all one idea;

OOC: The Whispers will become clearer as this part of the saga comes to a close. I think that only Shas'ui T'au Kais may remember whom the whisper belongs to...
