Anyone know of a quick release hex shanked pin vice bit?  I am looking for something to use pin vice bits with a chuck-less cordless driver.

I've had no problem using pin vice bits just as they are stright into my Makita (cordless, keyless chuck). Well, no problem getting them to seat firmly. You do have to very careful not to let the drill's torque absolutely destroy the bit.

On a side note, a drill and a cheap wooden chopstick allows for some interesting trailer-park lathe work.....

Edit: terminology error

Thanks for the reply. I might not be using the right terminology, but my driver only accepts quick-release, hex shanked bits. It doesn't have a chuck to hold drill bits with. I have found hex shanked chucks, but they are pretty big; clearly meant for traditional drill bits. I am wondering if someone makes a pin-vice sized version more appropriate for tiny drill bits.

Here is a link to my driver if that helps at all: http://www.boschtools.com/tools/tools-detail.htm?H=189200&G=70084&I=69862

Sorry, I messed up terminology there. My brain read chuckless as keyless chuck, somehow.

I've never seen pin-vice-sized drill bits in a hex mount, though, and I have no info for you on a hex-shank chuck that would handle a bit that small. Sorry.

If you get a chuck that is close to being small enough to hold the bits, taping the shaft of the bit might make it workable, though.

Right behind you...

Try Micromark. They have a lot of really unique things that modellers need. Not sure about your specific need, but I've usually had good luck finding something that works.
