Check out these Space Dwarf models.  [Who'd be excelent "squats"]

All look ok, with the first two being very nice and the last pretty bad, but easily fixed via a head swap.  They're all going for 2 pounds a piece.

Here are the greens:

I spotted these minis over on Frothers Unite UK (a site that's got far too much vulgarity for kids to read   ).

Here's the site they're sold on:

They have the style of RT era figs, but better sculpted.

I like em. Even ol spiky head.

One day someone will make enough of these to produce an army with.

I wonder if GW has let go of its "Squat" IP since they basically said "SQuats R the dum, we dont lik thim"...

Agreeance on the one with the Zulu knots. Very nice.

Strange, I like the spikey headed fella the most, though all are pretty chill figs. I still have a handful of Squats, either Perry or Olley sculpts, and they are actually rather well done and would easily hold up well to today's sculpts. Well, at least the bodies. The plastic arms/guns... not so much. Anyhow, nice to see some new space dwarfs.

Excellent sculpts. Way better than the usual "glue a lasgun on a fantasy Dwarf" path.

I prefer Olley's Armies' Scrunts  and Hasslefree's Grymm

Any sense as to how these would fit with Bob Olley's sculpts?

I also like the Grymn--his dwarfs (including the Celtos line) were just different from everything out there, somehow more 'proportional'. However, while Kev is a fantastic sculptor, the cost of doing anything more than a combat patrol of Grymn is pretty expensive...

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I know what you mean. My squat army will probably be fantasy plastics, with just the assault and heavy weapons using the 40k range, to keep the costs to a minimum.

Nice.

I don't have much interest in a 40K Squat army - but they'd make a kicking Necromunda gang.

I'd say pretty well. I actually thought these were Olley sculpts at first - it's the noses, particularly the flared nostrils.

Geezus, what's with Elusive's fixation with nostrils?

You have a Morrisey pillowcase. That explains a lot.

I have some Bob Olley 28mm Squats that he did recently that I bought through some guy on EBay. He did some troopers, thunderers, berzerkers and Exo-Armour they're pretty cool, very similar to the one piece Iron Claw squats he did for GW. Not sure about these, I'm not sure they'd fit in with my current Squat collection.

These are great. Definitely going in an Inquisitorial retinue.

I wonder if the little eagle on the spiky-headed one's bag might be a little too close for IP comfort, though.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!
