Something I never noticed about my (now well used) ork codex is that flash gitz can have 4 of ANY special weapon, not just big shootas as I always thought. I've used them when playing non MEQs (mainly nids), loading them up with assault 2 shootas, 5 big shootas, and sometimes even plopping them in a battle wagon (well, in v3 I did that). They have such massive amounts of firepower they actually do some good killing. But what about a MEQ/tank hunting squad? A nob with a rokkit, 4 boyz with rokkits, and any number of boys with 'blasta' custom job. Hell, even on its own, 5 rokkits is nice to have for 84 points. Tankbustas get only FOUR for 95 points, and dont have the option of AP 3 or AP 2 rapid fire shootas. Im thinking I could run 3 squads of 10 with blasta custom jobs and 5 rokkits each for 432 points, or without the custom jobs (IE, extra wounds to protect the rokkits) for 387. I mean, who uses any other ork elite choice anyways? So, could any of you smart(er than me) people out there tell me if this is a logical idea? Is the extra rokkit and saved points worth the loss of tank hunters and tankbusta bombs?
