What models in the Wood Elf army would I have to proxy/convert/go to direct order?

I mostly play Fantasy in a GW shop, so outside sources aren't really viable.

So far I know I'll have to convert an alter noble. That seems pretty easy, maybe
Dryad arms on a Wood Elf body or something similar.

What other combinations aren't readily supplied. I haven't seen any eagle mounts
in the store. Is this strictly a conversion thing?

There is an eagle mount sold by GW, and I think that it should be available. I don't think that there's a unicorn mount, there is no branchwraith model (unless you use drycha). My advice for the alter is this: just grab the wardancer noble, cut her in half and glue a GG torso on. It looks like he's moving, and it can double for a scout kindred. Also, if you ever get a battle standard, I'd advise getting the eternal guard standard bearer and painting it well.

I use the Waywatcher noble for my general purpose foot hero, with plug-in great weapon and shield.  I use the Mounted Lord with the 'branchy' shield for a g-p mounted noble.  I have four old-school mages, two mounted, two on foot. fora unicorn there is the Brettonian mage-ss on Unicorn. (The Bretonninas do 'worship' an Asrai Spellweaver, just look at the stats.)  Two of my Glade Rider command champions have been modified to fit on my old-school Great eagles.  I use Drycha as a Branchwraith.  I have yet to buy a Wardancer Noble, but will do so.  There is a Lord on Great Eagle availale.

The Stag is on a wider base, yes?
