Holy crap.

Cubed.

Impressive beyond belief.

You need Legions painted, we're your men. www.paintedfigs.com. If we can do 300 Spartans for free...100 Death Guard is no sweat.

My compliments gentlemen. I'll be reading this instead of paying attention at my ArdBoyz event tomorrow. Amazing.

I must echo the above, I downloaded it last week have been chomping at the bit to play. First Apoc now this, I am all geeked up

I heart SYR 8766

For all your bravado, if the US Army decided to invade, Wisconsin is it?, in force supported by a heavy bombing campaign for the month before, weeks of shelling from battleships on Lake Superior, and a full tank thrust (crushing the cows beneath the treads), I don't think that your .22 is going to make much of a difference really... Asmodai (my new hero)

At some point these sorts of decision-making skills lump you into the same camp as the Lehman Brothers, the White Star Line shipping company, and mothers who smoke during pregnancy.

Any plans to include rules for Primarchs in a later revision? Maybe for use with Apocalypse only?

I'd love to see some 600-700 point primarch rules... don't make them unkillable, but make them damn tough to take down...

Very, very inspiring.

Next time you make a major revision (perhaps when the Deamonica codex comes out) you should really spend a bit of time making a couple of special rules/restrictions for the Imperial Army the same way you did for the legions.

The Imperial Army was an important fighting element of the Heresy (on both sides) and it would be just as different as the Legions are in the year 40k from what they were in 30k.

yakface's 40K rule #1: Although the rules allow you to use modeling to your advantage, how badly do you need to win your toy soldier games?
yakface's 40K rule #2: Friends don't let friends start a MEQ army.
yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!

Yak cuts to the truth.

These options would not be limted to: Penal Legions, Commisar Training Cadre's (Yep, I still have the unit card for those), Beastmen regiments,HumanBombs, Rhino APC's in use for actual non marines (as the forge worlds on both sides had lots and lots of capacity and the STC wasn't rare) in places we see only Chimera's in "modern" availability.

Tanks and warmachines of dubious histories (Land Raider Spartans anyone) such as Chimerax, Chimereaux and Chimerdon even could be possibly involved.

The old "Space Marine" game alludes to companies of Land Raiders, Vindicators, Gorgons, etc. (like the Apocolypse game seems to be remembering) because such machines were as common as Chimera's are today. And 1000's of guardsmen in one formation all acting upon one, single command stream...who wouldnt' want that.

Yes. Yak speaks the truth. If you write it...we will build it.

Yakface, that is a wonderful suggestion. I even still have a pair of ancient Imperial Guard jetbikes lying in my bits box...

We certainly intend to make the codex an evergreen project, that stays current with the Horus Heresy novels, and takes into account the updated Codices.

I think I could do a section on the Imperial army in no more than 4-6 pages, throw in a handful of noted ICs, and may 1-2 cool apocalypse formations. Maybe a nice old fashoined Imperial beastmen platoon, or something.... hmmm very interesting....

And here I was thinking of doing either an Age of Apostasy or Macharian Crusade book for next year....

Agree with the above for primarchs in apocalypse sized games and a review of IG.

Excellent work, I'm still plowing through the books and am currently up to Flight of the Eisenstein with Fulgrim to be started next week. I like the take you've made on the characters from the books.

Look forward to updates.

I would love to see some modeling on the custodes or the sisters of silence. I have really wanted to make a SOS squad since I saw the Heresy era art books. I just have't had a real reason till now.

Now playing & at Guardian Games or Ordo Fanaticus Club Night

You men create beautiful and wonderous things down in the heart of Texas. There is no denying that.

You do it not because it is there, but because it is not, and because it is cool. I salute you, sir.
