well the thing is i dispise the models for most of the other warcasters for khador.
the model for vlad makes me want to puke.
dont like the old witch... the scrap jack looks nifty though.
the butcher and irusk are only ok model wise...
but the only real models for casters i like is sorscha.. all 3 of her models (the battlebox, the alt pose, and the epic)
the butcher is my last resort, if i get him then i would need to rework my intire list to be heavy CC ware as the one i got now has loads of shotting in it, backed up with some nasty cc... o this is the list i came up with.
caster is sorscha
behemoth (for the 2 bombard mainly, but it can rip you a new one if you get to close)
a unit of 4 battlefield machinics (try to figure out what they are gonna do =P)
unit of 8 iron fangs
the mandatory widowmaker squad
kell (allthough since i have one point to spare, i can switch him for rouge alchmist guy)
the mage hunter (as allways)
and 2 morter crews.
plan is to hang back, let them come to me, get a turn of morters scattering, then move caster forward, (used to wind rush, but since feat is the way it is i need those focus points) cast the spell that kockes you down (hopefully to get enough LOS to caster for feat to work, and morters to drop) and boost it (remaning point is on behemoth to boost the dmg from a bombard). then blow feat. attempt to kill the caster or if im not lucky a heavy jack, and put some dmg elseware. while widowmakers and kell run into range and fire on one wound warrior units... and iron fangs run into charge position or if i can, actualy charge something mmmm blasting pikes.....
next turn, i walk back, atempt to refreeze (or knock down... whatever the situation calls for) another high threat unit (or caster if im lucky) and blow it to heck and back. boosting it like before and boosting a bombard on behemoth for wounding.... iron fangs now charge in (if they allready did i shield wall), and widowmakers and kell finish off the one wound squad they shot last turn (aiming now)
good in theroy, but when the table is set up, my opponet allways makes sure to put forests (LONG ONES) right smack dab in the middle to block LOS from morters and bombards. i have played ONE game with a favorable terrein set up, and after my morters did what they did, that never happened again. the morters and bombards should be able to fire indirect (IMHO) but suffer the light arty rule if they fire indirect, and must have a friendly unit that dose have LOS to the target..
now for the life of me, i cant figure out why people call sorcha broken... honestly, she needs one more focus point for how expensive she is, mabye go from 71 to 75 for that extra focus.
