I was digging through my closet yesterday and found my old Eye of Terror codex.  While reading through it I started feeling the urge to convert some of my unused guardsmen laying around into traitors and run a LatD army.  This would be a strictly non-competitive  but fun army to play.  I want to run it like mechanized guard, having four or five units of traitors with chimeras, three Lemun Russ' or two Russ' and a bassie, and then a chaos sorcerer with a retinue as the HQ.  I'm not interested in running mutants or any of the other goodies in the LatD list.
My first question would be: is this even a legal list anymore?  The only Lost and the Damned info on the GW website I found had to do with some kind of hybrid non-40k game.  So that gave me a little pause.  My other question would be to other LatD players out there: do you have any advice on running this list?
If worse comes to worse I can always run a straight mech guard list and use deamonhunter allies.  The deamonhunter grey knight figures would represent my chaos space marine champion, and the IG would represent my traitor force.  I can probably get a much better playing list by doing it that way.

The list is unofficially official for about a week. In the US it is usable with the old chaos codex for the Ard Boyz finals on Nov 2nd and at the Baltimore GT on the 3rd and 4th. After that do not expect it to be legal.

As far as advice, mutants are pretty much where it is at. But, you are just doing it for fun so do what you want. If you want a more realistic chaos/ IG army shoot for Vraks list in the forgeworld books.
