Subject: Eldar Saim Hann 1850 list

I have been working on this list for a while and was looking for some feedback. This is an army I plan on bringing to a fairly competitive tournament.
My eyes see the same thing over and over now, so I was hoping that a different pair might see things a little different.
HQs:
Autarch - Mandiblaster, Laser Lance, Fusion Gun
Eldar Jetbike
Farseer - Fortune, Mind War, Spirit Stones, Singing Spear
Eldar Jetbike
Elites:
Harlequin Troupe - all with kiss
5 Troupers
1 Shadow Seer
Troops:
6 Guardian Jetbikes
Shuriken Cannon (x2)
6 Guardian Jetbikes
Shuriken Cannon (x2)
6 Guardian Jetbikes
Shuriken Cannon (x2)
3 Guardian Jetbikes
Shuriken Cannon
Warlock - Embolden, witchblade
3 Guardian Jetbikes
Shuriken Cannon
Warlock - Embolden, Singing Spear
3 Guardian Jetbikes
Shuriken Cannon
Fast Attack:
Shining Spears
4 Shining Spears
1 Shining Spears Exarch - WithDraw
Heavy Supports:
Falcon - Holo-Field, Spirit Stone, Star Engines, Vectored Engines
Scatter Laser, TL Shuriken Catapult
Fire Prism - Holo-Field, Spirit Stone, Vectored Engines
Shuriken Catapult
Total Roster Cost: 1849
Clearly the Harlies go in the Falcon and the Farseer will most likely join one of the 4 man jetbike squads are cruise around behind the shining spears to fortune as needed. One thought I had was trading out guide for Mind war, which would not change the points make up.
So any helpful comments would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Looks fairly friendly but tough enough to take on a lot of people.
The old sam hain list was horrible, in 3e, but people made it work. There's a lot you can do with a crapload of JSJ jetbikes, even if they are overpriced and undergunned. Now they are neither, so the list is just better.
I would drop the prism for another squad of shining spears.
Then I'd do what I had to do to get destructor and singing spears on both warlocks.
I would definitely drop mind war for doom or guide.

keep the Prism. The weapon helps against horde armies, you have literally nothing else to keep them from bunching up.
Toss the star engines and upgrade your vehicle cats to cannons.
I'd also like to tell you that hiding 6 man guardian jetbike units is very difficult. Especially if you have more than 2 or 3 of them, with only *3* each. You'll get shot and lose some to morale failure. Just my experience I'm sharing with you.
Bring another Shining Spear squad or a warlock bodyguard squad. Cost you less money to boot.

I would toss embolden from the warlocks in the bike squads. If you are taking moral tests in a 4 man squad, your squad is mostly gone anyway. Get destructor, its a lot more useful. Singing spears on bike warlocks are great too.
Star engines on the falcon are probably not going to do you much good. You don't want the falcon to be the only thing a lot of your opponents army can shoot at. This just gives it extra chance to die without helping you much. Take the extra turn to get it into position and allow the rest of your army to back it up.
You probably should drop a squad of bikes in favor of another shining spear squad. The fire prisim is kind of a hit or miss unit. Try it out and see how you like it. Personaly, I haven't found them to be extreamly useful but others disagree. Find out what works for you.

Ok, great the advice is very helpful. I think I will keep one warlock with embolden, just for the assistance with the farseer's powers, but yeah the other embolden is a waste.
Also, I see how star engines is not really going to help now.
I guess my only concern is the shining spears replacing a squad of jetbikes. In order for that to really work out points wise, I think I would have to drop the WB wielding warlock.
So the trade off is 6 jetbikes / 2 SC and a warlock for 5 shining spears. The spears would be just as hard to hide, and are kind of a one hit wonder in CC and I lose some ranged fire power. But then again 3 6 man squads could be way too difficult to hide and be effective, whereas the Shining Spears would be able to hide farther back until needed.
Anyway, thanks for the advice, it is things like this that a new set of eyes can spot that I could not.
I guess the idea that I am toying with right now, is that I can drop a 6 man jetbike squad, remove the 2 warlocks from the 3 man squads and put together a 4 man warlock squad with enhance, embolden and 2 destructors for the farseer to cruise around with. I think I am in favor of this change right now, as I feel it adds more than a second shinign spears squad.

2 fire prisms are better than one. 3 grav tanks are better than 2.
you might want to think about some fire dragons, since at 1,850 that list is a bit light on AT. maybe instead of harlies, maybe in a second falcon (see above about 3 grav tanks).
doom is better than mind war and guide put together.
and what everyone else said.
