So the way I understand it, Libra is the scholar army of
the Karman force, with officers and mentors in every squad
they choose. Not only does the platoon structure discourage
AFVs, but also the fact that you must purchase an officer
for every squad deters you from delving too much into AFVs.

So with

Soldier *!
Soldier ***
Soldier */**/***
Soldier */**/***
AFV */**/*** OR Soldier ***

you're looking at mostly foot troops and probably all foot troops
(at least until I learn what the advantages AFVs offer me, but those
trikes take time getting used to).

The Libra advantage is in the medics, but you can only ever have
two per platoon (is that the proper word?) as there are only two
places the Karmans have medic specialists: Wendigos and Yeti.

So does that mean you take your required Kaptars or Anakongas,
then fill up on Wendigo/Yetis with medics and maximum units (or
at least a high body count), and then try to use the rest of your
points to put in 1-2 units of K-warriors?

Thats pretty much how I would make a libra force if I were so inclined.

I do think there is a certain neat-o esthetic about the Karman flying vehicles though. But then again I love anime shows such as "Last Exile" which these vehicles strongly resemble. (That is to say, a flying locomotive that lalso looks like an american 50's era toaster) But yeah, it takes time for it to grow on you....

Also, speed can be a good thing in games, especially when you play scenarios. I played scenario 3 last night and the attacker lost because he couldn't make it to objectives in a timely manner.

So I hovered around them and won. If he was able to zip past the defending line in a turn or two, he could have outflanked me by being able to bring in his reinforcements behind me.

I'll have to check the images at work.

A question about the model design: do they look that way
because they've centralized the weaponry? I haven't bought
any models yet, but it seems like the mounted weapons
are the same as the ones on the infantry.
