Hello all,

I've been reading dakka for a while but i've never really posted. It seems there are always rational, intelligent answers right here for most of the in-game problems I encounter. I run Ultramarines with Daemonhunter allies, and typically teleport Grey Knight fast attack and Terminator squads for squad marine Heavies. I have a couple important questions about teleport homers.

1) Can forces of two different codexes, yet the same Force Org share homers; i.e. GK Termies use a Chaplains homer, or visa versa (all my models)?

2) Can forces of two different codexes, two separate Force Orgs on the same team, share homers; i.e. a teammate using said Chaplain's homer to arrive in game?

3) Can models teleporting in use the teleport homer of a model still contained in their dedicated transport? The model must be on the table at the start of the turn, but in those regards would being inside the vehicle count as such? The vehicle may be attacked and the character injured so is it legal? i.e. said Chaplain is in a Rhino at the start of the turn when Reserves are rolled.

These are all SM oriented questions, I have seen that the new CSM allows for their 'version' of a teleport homer to be used from within a transport. I have played these all as 'No' despite some of it seeming like common sense on the contrary. The rules seem vague and I like to avoid breaking the rules or being unfair. I have started to see these used against me recently and now I'm dying to know what is actually legal.

Thanks for all the help!

3's the only one I know the answer to off-hand: No. A unit in a transport isn't on the table. It's the same reason why Rites of Battle doesn't work if the commander is in a transport and why units in transports don't count for victory points.

As for question 1, I've always played that a teleport homer is a teleport homer no matter who's holding it. As long as it's your ally, go for it.

As for question 2, I don't think the rules cover having allies beyond 1 force org, so a House rule might be in order.

What about if you dont have a teleport homer but the person your playing does?

For example gk termies using the teleport homer of a chaplin on the other team

It doesnt say it has to be your teleport homer so could you use their homer for your troops?

This is silly! Buttons are not how one escapes dungeons! I would smash the button and rain beatings liberally down on the wizard for playing such a trick!

That is what my second question refers to. I believe the wording says 'friendly models' but i don't have the dex on me. 'Friendly models' to most might be read as the models one specific player fields.

Lifeafter is for the most part correct. In response to #2 as long as a friendly model has a Teleport Homer (you our your ally) then you can benefit from it.
