Below is my armoured company list. Note I took side skirts more as a "fluff" pick from my like of WWII tanks that often utilized them. I know as far as a list goes I'd probably do better to drop the side skirts and just pick up another russ.

I've never played a tank heavy list so I'm not sure what vehicles upgrades are worth it. I've read that tanks have a problem with vehicles so I figured a sentinal squadron with high strength weapons could go a logn way in dealing with that. I also have no good suggestion on what to do when i got to 1850 point area. I'm figuring a basalisk and a leman russ maybe.

I'm gonna tell you what I wish I could have told one of the local armored company players locally before he built the army -- don't do it if you intend to play competively. Most tournaments don't allow the list. And by the rumors for 5ed, Armored Company would have a really hard time winning games.

Now if you have the option of Apocalypse games or friends that are cool with playing any list you throw at em -- then go for it.

Its not legal in most tournaments, but if they did make the list legal in 5th edition or with the release of the new codex, I dont see how you figure tanks are going to be less effective. I mean come on theyre making vehicles have structure points instead of the usuall lucky pistol shot to the rear armour and boom. Theyre also doing away with the vehicle Boom! on the glancing table. What more could you ask/pray for as an army that runs all tanks?

I"m working off the list on GW's website at http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/imperialguard/gaming/ac_rules/default.htm and mainly intend it to be an army I play in friendly games that I use to bone out into an apocalypses army. It's easier to motivate my self to make a 1,500 point army then 2,500 point army.
