I recently started Empire and since I like Dragons, I like fielding Karl Franz on a dragon. Right now I have him on one of the old high elf dragons but I feel he deserves a new dragon. The gamesworkshop site has Karl Franz one the new high elf dragon.

I prefer to do my own original work so was thinking maybe the armorcast frost wyrm dragon as something different. It might be a little on the small side according to those dimensions. Does anyone have this model? Don't want to order it and then it seems to small.

Other issue is would this Frost Wyrm be legal for touranments?

I tried putting him on Kargos but Kargos seems to small.

The old S high elf/wood elf dragons are too common.

Man, that frost wyrm is beautiful. If you're making a model for friendly play, go that route for sure!

Unfortunately, it would definitely not be tourney-legal. If that's important, the new High Elf dragon is your best choice IMO. however, I hope you take _all_ the elven bitz off, not just most of them like the WD guys did. Still having reins with silly draperies hanging from them is a dead "I used to be an elf-caddy" giveaway. More metal, less tacky dingleballs-for-dragons bling.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

There's lots of fine, fine non-GW dragons out there. Reaper for example has plenty.

If it must be GW I've seen people do good things with the Lizardman Carnisaur + dragon wings.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

They used to have a "Dog's of War" High Elf on a dragon called Asarnil (I think). I always liked that dragon, and I think that was the first plastic one since the old Tailsman game.

Thank you for the repiles.

I like the Frost Wyrm too but I'm worried that I will get it and it will look too small and Karl will look to big on it like he does if I put him on Kargos.

It not being legal is a slight issue but I can just put him on a high elf dragon if it comes down to playing in a tournament since everything is magnetized.

I will have to look into this carnasaur mod. But alot of people have done it maybe not I want something different if possible.

I have Asarnil as well and his dragon is a variant of the high elf S dragon.

I took a look at the Lizardman carnasaur and I do not like it. It looks ugly and gritty and looks like its bug infested. It does not capture the magestic noble dragon coolness. Don't like the head that much either.

I think I will go with the Frost Wyrm. If I play in a tourney I can just use one of my old gamesworkshop dragons.
