ok, I played an apoc game this past weekend and I have to say, it was the most fun I have ever had playing 40k. the game consisted of me, with 3000 points of necrons, and a random guy with 2000 points ultra marines VS. 3000 points IG (including a Baneblade) and 1000 points of grey knights. It was amazingly fun, and there was so much death in every turn that it was ridiculous.

Some highlights were a deepstriking chaplain than lobbed a vortex grenade in turn one and vaporized a landraider. Grey knight termies that flank marched and killed everything, and turbo boosting destroyer lords that absorbed almost half the enemies fire power without going down. It was extremely fun and has further motivated me to expand my armies and play many, many more APOC games.
