Quick question that I didn't see explicitly mentioned and I want to see what you guys think.

A master of sanctity chaplain has command squad with 8 marines.

Bearing in mind page 86 of the rulebook (quoted below)

How many marines of the command squad need to be remaining for the unit to be scoring.

A. 4 members of the command squad, excluding the chaplain (since the unit is technically 8 models)

B. 5 members of the command squad, excluding the chaplain (since the unit started with 9 models)

C. 6 members of the command squad, excluding the chaplain (since starting wounds were 11)

Thanks!

"UNITS WITH DISTINCT ELEMENTS
...Each element is a separate entity when calculating Victory Points. Thus a Space Marine Chaplain with Command squad in a Rhino would be an independent character, a unit of Space Marines and a vehicle unit."

The answer is 'A' since the definition of what a scoring unit is is based upon the Victory Points chart which clearly indicates (as you posted) that ICs are counted as a separate element.

Right, that was my thinking but there was some debate so I thought I would try and produce as neutral a question as possible. Thanks.
