Can somebody out in Dakka land give me some dimensions for the necron pylon? All I really need is the outside diameter of the big ring on top, and the diameter of the legs, measured from the tip of one leg to the tip of the opposite leg. I'm going to scratchbuild one.

Thanks!

If more of us valued food and cheer and 40K over hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

I didn't know there was an official size.

If I were you I would just build one that looks right and fits your table.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

If in doubt make it larger rather than smaller. Just to be fair to the other players.

I was going to do a Necron super-heavy just like your "Tombhold"! It looks good. Congratulations!

FYI: Necrons don't have Flyers. It goes against their fiction. The most direct source is the 2004 Chapter Approved Vehicle Design Rules (VDR). It specifically says that Necrons cannot have Flyers. They can only have skimmers. There are a few other unique features to Necrons. Another good source of the types of things Necrons field is EPIC and Battle Fleet Gothic for ideas of what Necrons use and how they operate.

Yes you are correct Necrons don't have flyers.... but isn't that the reason for the VDR rules?

Its not all about the background! its about having fun and a laugh!
