hi guys, id like to introduce myself!

my name is mike and iam a wh40k collecter, not player cause i never played a battle before, iam more interested in the models and massive armies to model / paint
however i do want to start playing battles in the near future once i get a cool and legit army up and runnin' .
if you wanna know more check my profile, atm i recently bought a tyranid battleforce and a hive tyrant to get a nice army of wh40k to add to my collection, my collection mostly consists of models from 4-5 years ago since i had a very long break before shortly when i bought the tyranids.
the main reason for tyranids was the new models for the uberfex and the tyrant, both awesome and, obviously a real challenge to paint.
i also have a small whfb force consisting of 24 orc boyz, 20 gobbo's, a chucka, a big boss and a warboss on wyvern, this was always my personal pride since it is my only army EVER that i finished for 100%
ill post screenshots on here soon maybe of this force.
now iam actually looking for a nice space ork force to actually play with, ill leave this tyranid army purely for small skirmishes and display purposes only.
for orks i want an apocalypse sice army consisting of mainly shooty' and stompy' stuff mixed with some choppy' and bashy' stuff <3 <3
why orks?
well even if i dont rly have a massive army yet, orks have always attracted me with their brutish charme, i played orks in warcraft 1, 2, 3, world of warcraft, lotr ( uruk-hai for the winz0r ) and possibly any other universe they exist in, simply because they rule <3

to not make this too boring, hi everyone and i hope ill have a good time here with lots of comrades to discuss wh40k with and stuff alike

ill tell you guys exactly what my current models exist of, when i was a little git back in the days ( 12-13ish ) i was obsessed with the wh universe and ive bought actually anything i could get my hands on, spended every last coin on it.

whfb - Orks

1 Warboss on wyvern

11 Ork boyz, Big boss added, these guys got spears n shields

12 Ork boyz, full retinue with a limited converted champion

1 spear chucka

20 goblins with spears and shields and a full retinue

this army was based around some aggressive bunch of orcs who were shot down too easily by the cowardly hummies with DEYR GUNZ so they
recruited some extra goblins to form up a meat shield and get DA BOYZ in , pretty simple but the fluff was yet to be worked out.

Dark green skins, goblins a bit lighter, wyvern also different variants of green on skin and scaling, red is the army colour. gakloads of brown ink used since
it was the easiest way for me to highlight and stuff back then. spended a considerable amount of time ( 2 days ) to paint the warboss and his pet, for me this is very long since i simply
dont have the patience to go over every aspect of a model with care, sad cos i think i couldve done a much better job that way, might highlight all the skins again some time with some variant of green
over the ink layer so it looks abit better and shows more detail. plans are into consideration for this army, altho iam focused on wh40k atm cos of DA APOCALYPZE .

wh40k - Eldar ( )

My uncle had some spare bitz of a battleforce and i got it!

no fluff just more stuff to throw into the grinder ( my imagination )

1 eldar farseer

1 falcon grav tank, dunno which variant since iam not into elves or eldar at all, but its lightly armed so i think its some sort of a transport variant. like a chimera or w/e.

10 guardians, for the sake of having some ground troops.

3 jet bikes, quite cool but old models, not much to convert from basics.

the army has a red gorish look overall and bleached bone themed helmeds and used as secondary colours, i tried to make some sort of a unique army by painting black triangles on all the dudes, i wasnt a rly
good painter back then ( still not rly but improving ) and i spend very little time on this army.

whfk/wh40k individual figures

models that i like in particular without having bought an army

Some cadian shock troops, was obsessed with the way they looked cos of the Starship Troopers movie so i bought a box and started painting
not much special but was fun to do, models arent highlighted or finished.

Archaon!!!11eleven!! , i rly liked this model in particular simply cos its a brutal dude with unmatchable power, i painted him a total of 3 times, first in undivided style, then khorne ( which sucked pretty bad cos i suck at making red look cool for some reason ), then finally tzeentch, which went out as final result. still not rly pro, but was fun to do aswell, pretty simple and dull paintwork, threw some blue ink over the boltgun metal armour, which makes it look pretty cool.

Emperors champion, everyone needs to have one of these tbh, same as the archaon model, not much special, painted black templar style with a bit more attention spend on it. still pretty dull,
no real highlights or anything just a plain simple paint job.

Grey knights, cool models and not too hard to paint, spend a considerable amount of time on these, most of the squad was lost, since i moved to another house in the meantime so much stuff was gone missing. ( note that i picked up the hobby after 4 years so lots of stuff has changed ) tried to give em the proper codex colours. also got a rhino with them with the common red / white pattern and the metal, aswell as a dred.

last but not least i got 5 uruk-hai models with a ballista purely bought for fun and painting, done simple too and not too much time spend, these look awesome no matter how you paint em!

this was a summary of what i have gotten in the past years, stuff iam working on now is my tyranids battleforce + tyrant, i finished 2 gaunts so far to get an idea of my colour scheme and started basecoating the tyrant which is 1 hell of a job if i am to highlight it correctly but still fun to do, i only have limited supplies to work with however, i got 2 sorts of red ( which is their skin and exo-skeleton colour ) mechrite red, from the starter box, and red gore, still no good highligh colour like blood red, eventually the skin should look a bit red-pink-ish w/e, the carapace a mixture of browns and dull yellows, however i still dont have any idea how to make this look cool ( tips appreciated ) in the form of inks or highlights. the whole of my army is assembled except for my gaunts with scythed talons which will be the last of my hell-bred warrriors!

- thx for reading y'all and i promise you those pictures will be here during next week, its hard cos i dont have a camera and i gotta fix sumfin' !!

- Edit: not sure if this is the place to post this kind of stuff but if not tell me and ill get it on the appropriate forum!
