Ok, so my indecision is at it again....Ive been reconsidering the tyranid army and here's what I was thinking.....

Warrior Brood: x4 w/ TS, EC, x1 Barbed Strangler, x2 DeathSpitters, x3 Devourers. 139 pts.
Genestealers: x10 w/ TS. 190pts
Termagants: x10 w/ Fleshborers. 60pts
Termagants: x10 w/ Fleshborers. 60pts
Termagants: x8 w/ Fleshborers. 48pts
Raveners: x3 w/ 2xpairs of Scything Talons. 114pts.
Dakkafex: x1 w/ ES, TS, TL-Devourer, Barbed Strangler. 139pts

This is 750pts on the dot, but, is it worthwhile on the tabletop? Models I currently own: 3-5 warriors with talons + whatever guns I give them, 6x macragge 'stealers,
10x macragge termagants, 1x old as all get out carnifex (the old metal screamer-killer) and a random mess of parts here and there.

I was thinking a Zoanthrope or 2 with warp blast at 55pts. a piece wouldnt be bad, but Im not sure, I think I like the raveners......
It's either this, or I commend my soul (time, money and effort in painting) some kind of marine chapter....though I can never say which one.....

Actually it just dawned on me that my math was off on counting the warriors in the squad compared to the amount of weapons I gave them, lol, its late, what can I say....?

Firstly, every Warrior MUST have 2 weapon symbiotes. I only count 5 there. Additionally, each Warrior can only fire one weapon per turn, though it counts as Twin-linked if you give them the same weapon. So I'd either give each Warrior a gun and Scything Talons, or 2 sets of the same gun. All up your brood of 4 Warriors must have 8 weapon symbiotes. Enhanced senses are also really good for shooting Warriors.

Looks ok. Consider taking Spinegaunts instead of termagants simply because you'll get more of them for the same points. Consider swapping Toxin Sacs for Extended Carapace on the Genestealers.

x3 Raveners: x2 Pairs of Scything Talons. 114pts.

Will get a lot more kills from having Rending and Scything, unless you aren't going against MEQs. Also consider splitting them into 3 broods of 1 instead of 1 brood of 3 as it makes them more flexible and more survivable on the table.

Overall the army looks ok. I can see 2 weaknesses - first that you only have 1 synapse unit. 8 wounds isn't a lot and if they go down, the rest of your army is screwed except the Carnifex and Genestealers. It also means your entire army has to stay within 12 inches of one brood, making it tactically less flexible. Consider taking 2 broods of 3 Warriors instead so you have 4 more wounds and can split them (and the rest of your army) up on the table.

The second weakness is anti-tank. Even in 750pts expect people to take some AV 12+ vehicles. Consider giving the Carnifex and/or Warriors a Venom Cannon instead of Barbed Strangler. Otherwise the Carnifex's BS and the Genestealers are the only threat to tanks and are not incredibly reliable.

Apparently, I still ended up with 1 too many shooty biomorphs on the warriors, and yes I do know they need 2 each, I just didnt mention the scything talons they already have. apologies!

Im going to be fighting Orks mostly with this particular army, so vehicle armor should be low enough to pop as is, the problem is that Im not about 92pts over!
I guess I could drop x1 Ravener, and x9 termagants......that should put me at 750pts on the dot..

Any thoughts on that one?

I would give stealers implant attack and talons hide em behind gaunts untill theyre close to something and then well just kinda sit their and make jokes to the enemy about their guys running off headless in random directions
